Reaktor Innovations Oy is seeking two dynamic Business Development Directors to spearhead the expansion of our retail sector presence in Amsterdam. This pivotal role places you at the forefront of developing strategic client partnerships and identifying novel opportunities, working in synergy with our diverse teams of experts in design, technology, and strategy.
  • • This position is a unique blend of proactive business development and strategic market cultivation. You will collaborate intimately with senior specialists across design, technology, and strategy to pinpoint emerging opportunities, craft compelling client proposals, and secure significant engagements with prominent retail organizations. Your primary mission is to establish and nurture Reaktor’s retail footprint within Amsterdam, focusing on identifying, developing, and successfully closing new client relationships and opportunities. Success will be measured by your ability to build a robust and sustainable sales pipeline within the retail sector, enhance Reaktor’s brand visibility and market penetration among Dutch retailers, foster deep trust with senior client stakeholders, secure new client projects, and cultivate enduring, long-term partnerships. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in contributing to the overarching long-term growth trajectory of our retail business unit.
  • • You will have the distinct privilege of shaping our strategic approach to the retail market locally and influencing how we articulate and position our comprehensive capabilities to prospective clients. On a daily basis, your responsibilities may encompass identifying and actively pursuing new business prospects with retail clients throughout Amsterdam and the broader European landscape. You will initiate and expertly lead commercial discussions with senior client executives, meticulously developing client relationships and guiding prospects seamlessly through the entire opportunity lifecycle. A key aspect of your role will involve collaborating with Reaktor’s design, technology, and strategy experts to conceptualize and shape innovative solution approaches tailored to client needs. You will also take the lead in managing proposal processes and navigating complex commercial negotiations. Close collaboration with your colleagues will be essential to effectively position Reaktor’s unique capabilities and thought leadership within the competitive retail market. You will represent Reaktor with distinction at key industry events, client roundtables, and strategic networking forums. Additionally, you will contribute to refining our go-to-market strategies and operational methodologies within the retail domain, ensuring a smooth and effective transition from the sales phase to project delivery and supporting the long-term development of key accounts.
  • • This role is designed to offer significant autonomy, empowering you to define your own methods for building relationships and developing opportunities. We are seeking a commercial professional with a proven history of success in forging new client relationships and closing complex, high-value engagements. Essential qualities include demonstrable experience in business development, sales, or client leadership roles within consulting, digital services, or technology-focused organizations. A strong aptitude for opening doors, establishing credibility, and nurturing long-term client partnerships is paramount. Experience in leading consultative sales processes and developing sophisticated solution proposals is highly valued. You should possess a keen commercial acumen, complemented by strategic foresight and the ability to think critically about market dynamics. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, particularly with senior client stakeholders, are crucial. The capacity to operate independently while fostering close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is key. Above all, you must be results-oriented and driven by the desire to create lasting client impact. While not strictly mandatory, experience with custom software development, digital transformation initiatives, or complex technology services will be highly advantageous. Prior engagement with global retail brands is particularly desirable, and an established network within the Amsterdam or broader Dutch retail ecosystem would be a significant asset.
