Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Leap Technologies is at the forefront of revolutionizing employer specialty pharmacy benefits, acting as a category-defining pioneer. We are fundamentally changing how life-altering therapies are delivered and financed, ensuring that patients receive the treatments they critically need while simultaneously providing employers with a fair and equitable financial arrangement. Specialty drugs and infusions constitute a significant portion, nearly 10%, of all healthcare expenditures and represent the most rapidly escalating cost category for employers. Leap addresses this complex challenge head-on through an innovative strategy that eliminates hidden markups, broadens access to high-quality infusion providers, and introduces much-needed transparency and fairness into the pricing and payment mechanisms for these therapies. We are proud to have established strong partnerships with a multitude of Fortune 500 companies and leading Third-Party Administrators (TPAs). Every patient we serve directly translates into immediate Return on Investment (ROI) through reduced costs, enhanced access to care, and improved health outcomes. Join our dynamic team as we redefine the possibilities within specialty care.
  • • We are actively seeking to hire our inaugural Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to establish the critical foundation for our outbound and inbound prospecting initiatives. This is not a typical entry-level BDR position. You will report directly to our Director of Revenue Operations, work in close collaboration with Sales leadership, and gain significant visibility with the company's founders as we meticulously build out our go-to-market function. This role demands an individual who possesses not only a deep understanding of effective prospecting techniques but also the ability to expertly navigate complex enterprise sales cycles. These cycles involve engaging with executive-level decision-makers within Fortune 500 companies and managing multiple stakeholders across the intricate healthcare ecosystem. Your responsibilities will frequently involve identifying and engaging with HR and benefits executives at large employer organizations, while also developing a nuanced understanding of the influential roles played by Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), brokers, and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) in the overall decision-making process.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by your ability to accurately map this complex landscape, cultivate meaningful relationships across all key stakeholder groups, and devise creative, effective strategies for generating high-quality, qualified sales pipeline. If you possess a strong aptitude for thriving in ambiguous environments, are eager to actively contribute to building and refining our prospecting motion as you execute it, and are genuinely excited by the intellectual challenge of complex B2B sales, this presents an unparalleled opportunity to make an outsized impact within a company that is actively reshaping the healthcare industry. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • • Leading and executing comprehensive outbound prospecting efforts targeting enterprise employers and senior benefits decision-makers.
  • • Diligently qualifying and advancing inbound leads, ensuring that only high-quality, well-vetted opportunities progress through the sales funnel.
  • • Conducting in-depth research and meticulously mapping target accounts, identifying key executives, brokers, TPAs, and other influential stakeholders within the employer benefits ecosystem.
  • • Developing and crafting highly tailored, insight-driven messaging that effectively resonates with Fortune 500 buyers and addresses their specific pain points.
  • • Collaborating closely with Revenue Operations and Sales leadership to design, implement, and refine BDR processes, prospecting cadences, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • • Actively sharing valuable feedback and strategic insights to drive continuous improvement in our targeting strategies, messaging effectiveness, and overall go-to-market approach.
  • • Meticulously tracking all prospecting activities and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records within Salesforce.
  • • Consistently meeting and exceeding established targets for activity volume, pipeline creation, and qualified meeting generation.
  • • Embracing a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit, contributing to the development of a robust and scalable BDR function from its inception.
  • • Developing a deep understanding of the specialty pharmacy landscape and Leap's unique value proposition to effectively communicate its benefits to prospective clients.
  • • Building and nurturing a strong professional network within the benefits and healthcare procurement space.
  • • Demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the sales and healthcare technology sectors.
  • • Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing best practices and supporting colleagues.
  • • Proactively identifying new market opportunities and potential target segments for Leap's solutions.
  • • Engaging with potential clients through various channels, including email, phone calls, and social media, to initiate conversations and build rapport.
  • • Articulating the financial and clinical benefits of Leap's solutions with clarity and conviction to diverse audiences.
  • • Preparing for and participating in initial discovery calls, gathering essential information to assess prospect fit and needs.
  • • Working closely with Account Executives to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities and provide necessary context.
  • • Staying abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes impacting employer benefits and specialty pharmacy.
  • • Contributing to the creation of sales collateral and enablement materials as needed.
  • • Maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
  • • Demonstrating a strong work ethic and a results-oriented approach to achieving individual and team goals.
  • • Being a brand ambassador for Leap Technologies, embodying the company's values and mission in all interactions.
