📋 Description

  • As the Business Intelligence Group Manager for Operations & Customer Experience at Alma, you will lead a team of BI analysts supporting Core Operations, Customer Experience, and Finance value streams, driving strategic insights and data products that enable efficient scaling while maintaining world-class customer experience.
  • You will establish strategic trust and roadmap ownership with stakeholders, lead long-term strategic planning for H2 and 2027 BI strategy, bridge business needs with data products by collaborating with Data Science and Data Engineering leaders, and ensure operational and financial integrity for the 2026 financial audit.
  • Alma is on a mission to simplify access to high-quality, affordable mental health care by making it easy and financially rewarding for therapists to accept insurance and offer in-network care, with over 20,000 therapists in its network and availability in all 50 states.
  • You will develop leadership and technical expertise by managing and mentoring BI analysts, evolving team capabilities in SQL and DBT, championing AI adoption, contributing directly to complex data modeling, and driving data fluency across business partners to ensure insights lead to action.

🎯 Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience working in data analytics or BI
  • 3-4 years of experience managing analysts
  • Mastery of the modern data stack (SQL, DBT, BI visualization tools) with ability to provide hands-on guidance
  • Demonstrated history of identifying and deploying new tools to increase team velocity, including AI-powered solutions
  • Experience turning around complex team dynamics and motivating employees through periods of change using delegation as a tool for growth
