• As a Business Operations Manager at Zip, you will be an integral part of a small, high-leverage team tasked with tackling the company's most significant business challenges. This senior individual contributor role offers substantial ownership and visibility, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals who excel in ambiguous environments and are driven by accountability for delivering tangible outcomes. • Your responsibilities will encompass leading strategic initiatives across various departments, requiring you to take full ownership of projects from their initial scoping and in-depth analysis through to their successful execution and implementation. This end-to-end project management capability is crucial for driving forward key organizational objectives.
• A significant aspect of this role involves close cross-functional collaboration. You will partner extensively with teams across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and People Operations. This collaboration is essential for identifying and implementing operational improvements, providing critical data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making, and ensuring alignment across the organization.
• You will be instrumental in building scalable processes and systems from the ground up, often referred to as 'zero-to-one' initiatives. Simultaneously, you will be tasked with refining and improving existing workflows to enhance efficiency, support rapid growth, and maintain operational excellence. This dual focus on creation and optimization is key to Zip's continued success.
• A core function of your role will be to analyze business performance rigorously. This involves developing robust financial and operational models, synthesizing complex data into actionable insights, and presenting clear, concise recommendations to senior leadership. Your analytical prowess will directly influence strategic direction and operational adjustments.
• You will be responsible for defining key success metrics for initiatives, meticulously tracking performance against these benchmarks, and ensuring accountability across all stakeholders involved in key projects. This data-driven approach to performance management will be critical for demonstrating impact and driving continuous improvement.
• The ideal candidate will possess a proven ability to independently navigate and drive complex projects in ambiguous settings, consistently delivering measurable results. Strong analytical skills, including the ability to build sophisticated models and work effectively with business data, are paramount. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, enabling you to influence effectively across all levels and functions of the organization.
• Furthermore, you must demonstrate a clear track record of successfully creating and operationalizing new processes, systems, or programs. 🎯 Requirements

• 4-year undergraduate degree (preferably in a quantitative or analytical field such as Business, Economics, Engineering, or related).
• 4-8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, business operations, or at a high-growth startup.
• Proven ability to independently drive complex projects under ambiguity and deliver results.
• Strong analytical skills, including experience building models and working with business data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence across levels and functions.
• Demonstrated ability to create and operationalize new processes, systems, or programs.
