đź“‹ Description
- • Quantinuum is at the vanguard of the quantum computing revolution, and we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CAD and PLM Architect to join our dynamic team in Broomfield, CO. This pivotal role is instrumental in shaping the future of our hardware development by defining and implementing a robust, efficient, and scalable CAD and PLM architecture. Your expertise will be crucial in creating streamlined, automated workflows that empower our brilliant engineers and physicists to innovate at an unprecedented pace, accelerating the delivery of groundbreaking quantum technologies.
- • As a CAD and PLM Architect, you will be the driving force behind our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, specifically focusing on Arena, and our Computer-Aided Design (CAD) environment, with a strong emphasis on Onshape. Your responsibilities will extend to architecting, configuring, and administering the PLM system to ensure it seamlessly supports our evolving business needs and complex product development cycles. This includes meticulously maintaining accurate product data and comprehensive documentation within the Arena system, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for all stakeholders.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves driving the CAD architecture and establishing best practices and standards, particularly within the Onshape platform. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automation scripts and developing lightweight internal tools designed to eliminate repetitive tasks. By replacing manual processes with reliable, streamlined, and automated workflows, you will significantly enhance engineering productivity and reduce the potential for human error.
- • Furthermore, you will play a key role in developing and implementing standardized processes for configuration control and change management. This includes creating comprehensive training materials and delivering effective training sessions to our engineering and cross-functional teams. You will educate them on best practices for PLM workflows, configuration management, and the critical importance of maintaining rigorous control over product data and documentation.
- • Your expertise will be leveraged to design and optimize product lifecycle workflows, encompassing all stages from initial design to end-of-life. This includes meticulously defining and refining approval processes and change management procedures to ensure efficiency, compliance, and complete traceability throughout the product lifecycle. You will oversee all product change management activities, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory requirements and maintaining an auditable trail of all modifications.
- • A critical component of this role is the integration of our core systems. You will be tasked with integrating Onshape and Arena with other essential business systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This integration will be achieved through reliable, well-documented APIs, ensuring seamless data flow and operational synergy across the organization. Your ability to develop and maintain these integrations will be vital for maintaining a single source of truth and optimizing our end-to-end product development processes.
- • We are looking for an individual who not only possesses deep technical expertise but also has a strong understanding of modern software development practices. This includes experience with API development, scripting languages like Python, and familiarity with CI/CD workflows, testing methodologies, and system monitoring. Your ability to write maintainable code and build user-friendly tool interfaces, with a strong focus on documentation and clarity, will be highly valued.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a company that is literally changing the world. By joining Quantinuum, you will be at the forefront of the quantum computing revolution, working alongside world-class scientists and engineers. You will have the chance to shape the future of technology, push the boundaries of what's possible, and make a tangible impact on industries worldwide. Your work will directly contribute to accelerating the path to practical quantum computing and scaling its impact across diverse sectors.
- • We foster a collaborative environment where ideas are exchanged readily and decisions are made quickly. While this role is primarily based in our Broomfield, CO location, there may be opportunities for remote work with appropriate approvals, reflecting our commitment to flexibility where possible. You will be empowered to build strong relationships, effectively partner with diverse teams, and operate with a high degree of autonomy, driven by your self-motivation and proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
