- • The Category Manager, Contract Services at Crusoe Energy Systems LLC plays a critical role in enabling the company’s mission to scale AI infrastructure by strategically managing construction and engineering contracts that underpin power generation projects essential to AI compute operations. This role directly impacts Crusoe’s ability to deliver reliable, cost-effective energy solutions at speed, ensuring supplier agreements are commercially sound, risk-mitigated, and aligned with long-term growth objectives.
- • On a day-to-day basis, the Category Manager will lead the full lifecycle of complex construction and services agreements, including negotiating EPCs, MSAs, and engineering services contracts with civil, electrical, and mechanical firms; conduct spend analytics to track cost performance and change order frequency; manage evergreen agreements by auditing compliance with termination clauses, liquidated damages, and performance guarantees; drive supplier onboarding through RFPs and qualification assessments focused on safety, bonding capacity, and execution speed; partner with Power Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, and Legal to ensure technical specifications are accurately reflected in commercial terms; identify and implement process improvements in contract workflows and change order management; and monitor contractor compliance against milestones, scope, and performance guarantees tied to power generation output.
