  • • Engage with CFOs from the world’s leading companies to demonstrate the value of Gartner for CFOs offerings and make Gartner insights come alive for them.
  • • Partner with Sales and Service Delivery teams to identify, engage, and qualify prospective CFOs and senior finance executives as new clients.
  • • Act as a coach to the Sales Team by educating them on the true value proposition of the Gartner for CFOs service and helping them close new business through client value stories.
  • • Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) calls to showcase the impact of Gartner’s benchmarks, labor data, tactical tools, and peer best practices to prospective clients.
  • • Help define and prepare Service Kick-Offs to transition qualified clients to Service Delivery associates, ensuring seamless onboarding.
  • • Participate in strategic account planning to identify and prioritize growth opportunities within the Gartner for CFOs business.
  • • Provide POC reporting including metrics on POCs conducted, conversion rates, and continuous improvement insights to drive GCFO growth.
  • • Collaborate with Executive Partner for GCFO, Finance Sales, Product Marketing, and Research teams to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy.
  • • Leverage deep expertise in finance transformation—spanning strategy, organization design, process digitization, ERP technology, data governance, talent development, board leadership, and cost/capital management—to advise prospects.
  • • Maintain a strong presence in a sales-led environment, finding motivation in regular client-facing interactions despite not being solely responsible for closing deals.
  • • Apply reflective listening skills to adjust to client cues and needs, demonstrating humility and strong interpersonal abilities when engaging with C-level executives.
  • • Support the development of client-centric narratives that align Gartner’s research and tools with the mission-critical priorities of finance leaders.
  • • Manage multiple client engagements and internal initiatives with strong time management, project management, and detail-oriented execution.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 20+ years working in a senior management role in a Finance capacity and 5+ years as a CFO or equivalent
  • • In-depth understanding of all aspects of the finance function including strategy, organization design, process improvements/digitization, ERP technology, data governance, finance talent & skills, board leadership, CFO personal impact, cost and capital management, and data & analytics
  • • History of leading finance transformation initiatives across diverse industries and ownership structures (private and public)
  • • Experience in a sales-focused role, preferably within a consulting environment, with strong understanding of sales metrics
  • • Experience coaching, presenting, and collaborating at the C-level
  • • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferred
