Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • • As an Auto Claims Supervisor at Kin Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in leading and empowering a team of 5-7 claims adjusters, overseeing a diverse inventory of auto claims that range from straightforward glass and towing incidents to complex, litigated bodily injury cases.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless and efficient operation of your team by setting clear goals, providing comprehensive education on company strategies and best practices, and diligently implementing and monitoring established procedures.
  • • You will be instrumental in fostering the professional growth of your team members by identifying opportunities for targeted coaching, training, and mentorship, with the ultimate aim of stimulating continuous improvement and enhancing overall performance.
  • • This role involves meticulous oversight of team operations, including monitoring attendance, managing leave requests, and consistently enforcing company policies and core values to maintain a productive and compliant work environment.
  • • Effective communication is paramount; you will engage with customers, vendors, and internal colleagues across various settings, including virtual, office-based, and field interactions, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all exchanges.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of both individual and team performance metrics, providing valuable insights into operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • • You will be tasked with analyzing claims data to identify emerging trends, proactively recognize potential issues, and develop, implement, and monitor effective resolutions to address these challenges.
  • • Maintaining robust compliance and process documentation is essential. This includes preparing and updating job aids, handling Department of Insurance (DOI) responses, establishing best practices and guidelines, and developing data tracking resources to support consistent operations.
  • • Collaboration is vital. You will work closely with other departments within Kin Insurance to identify strategic opportunities, calibrate approaches, and contribute to informed decision-making that aligns with the company's overarching objectives.
  • • You will hold your team accountable for the quality of their work through consistent oversight, daily review of claims, and active involvement in claim resolution processes. This includes, but is not limited to, in-depth analysis of coverage, precise policy interpretation, thorough estimate review, comprehensive compliance checks, and providing clear, actionable direction as needed.
  • • Success in this role within the first 6-12 months is measured by the tangible impact you create. You will leverage your expertise and sound judgment to take ownership of critical tasks, drive improvements in operational processes, and actively contribute to advancing Kin's mission.
  • • You will be expected to master technical and compliance oversight, establishing a rigorous audit and feedback loop that guarantees 100% adherence to DOI regulations and internal best practices across the entire spectrum of claims, from simple glass losses to intricate, litigated bodily injury files.
  • • Furthermore, you will drive data-led strategic insights, moving beyond routine file reviews to become a key cross-departmental collaborator. Your ability to translate claims data and identify emerging trends into actionable strategies will be crucial in helping Kin scale its auto product while upholding industry-leading customer satisfaction standards.
  • • This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of auto claims management within an innovative, remote-first insurance company, contributing directly to customer confidence and company growth.
