📋 Description
- • Processes auto property damage and lower-level injury claims, including assessing damage, making payments, and ensuring claim files are accurately documented and correctly coded per policy terms.
- • Develops and maintains action plans to meet state-mandated contract deadlines and drive claims toward timely and appropriate resolution.
- • Identifies and pursues subrogation opportunities, securing and disposing of salvage in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- • Communicates claim status, actions, and decisions to insured parties, clients, agents, or brokers as appropriate, maintaining professional client relations.
- • Performs comprehensive coverage, liability, and damage analysis on all assigned claims to determine settlement value and policy applicability.
- • Reviews and assesses property damage estimates, total loss evaluations, and related expenses to negotiate first- and third-party claims effectively.
- • Ensures adherence to state salvage forms and title requirements, with preference given to experience in total loss processing.
- • Supports the organization’s quality programs by following established procedures and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- • Maintains accurate and complete claim documentation in accordance with internal standards and regulatory compliance.
- • Utilizes Microsoft Office products and other computer systems to manage claims data, generate reports, and communicate efficiently.
- • Demonstrates strong analytical and interpretive skills to evaluate complex claim scenarios and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
- • Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- • Maintains strong organizational skills to manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
- • Works collaboratively within a team environment to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- • Meets or exceeds established service expectations and performance metrics for claim handling.
- • Performs travel as required to conduct inspections, attend meetings, or fulfill claim-related obligations.
- • Adheres to all physical, auditory, visual, and mental work environment requirements, including prolonged computer keyboarding, clear hearing and vision, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- • Maintains required state adjusting licenses and secures credit security clearance through a background credit check.
- • Complies with all company policies, including those related to being a drug-free workplace and equal opportunity employment.
