  • • As a Client Integration Engineer at Coinbase, you will be at the forefront of integrating institutional trading clients onto our cutting-edge exchange and API platform. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of deep technical acumen and sophisticated relationship management skills, positioning you at the critical intersection of electronic trading, robust APIs, and high-performance production systems.
  • • You will be instrumental in onboarding new market participants, meticulously troubleshooting live trading issues, and ensuring the seamless, reliable flow of orders between our clients' sophisticated trading systems and Coinbase's robust infrastructure. Your expertise will directly contribute to the growth and stability of our institutional trading services.
  • • Take ownership of all technical and product-related initiatives for your assigned client portfolio. This involves close collaboration with Sales and Account Management teams to not only ensure client retention but also to drive deeper enterprise account penetration by understanding and addressing their evolving needs.
  • • Cultivate and maintain strong, proactive relationships with a diverse portfolio of over 50 institutional clients, providing comprehensive Tier 1-3 technical and product support. Your ability to anticipate needs and resolve issues efficiently will be key to client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • • Partner closely with Account Managers to develop a granular understanding of client account structures. You will identify key decision-makers within these organizations and establish critical technical operation touchpoints, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • • Act as a crucial conduit for product advocacy and development. You will be responsible for gathering detailed product requirements and feedback directly from clients, championing these insights within Coinbase's Product and Engineering teams to influence our roadmap and product evolution.
  • • Work hand-in-hand with product teams to provide clients with timely and relevant updates on our product roadmap, ensuring they are informed about upcoming features and enhancements that can benefit their trading strategies.
  • • Develop and implement scalable tactical and strategic solutions tailored to address the unique technical needs and potential gaps identified within client environments. Your innovative problem-solving will be essential for client success.
  • • Cultivate a profound understanding of each customer's specific environment, including their operational constraints and workflows. This deep insight will enable you to ensure customer configurations are meticulously documented and effectively integrated into the broader product development lifecycle, leading to more robust and client-centric solutions.
  • • Guide assigned accounts through the establishment of well-defined technical and business processes, supporting both cloud-based and on-premise deployments. Your expertise will ensure smooth and efficient integration pathways.
  • • Collaborate on go-to-market strategies for new product features, focusing on optimizing the customer experience and ensuring successful adoption by our institutional clients.
  • • Deliver detailed reviews of operational performance, key metrics, and any service disruptions to both internal management and external clients. Transparency and data-driven insights are paramount.
  • • Provide expert API development support and guidance on best practices to clients throughout their onboarding journey. You will cover the full spectrum of Coinbase's API suite product lines, empowering clients to leverage our platform effectively.
  • • Assist our Engineering teams in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues and service outages for your assigned accounts, acting as a critical bridge between client-facing challenges and internal resolution efforts.
  • • Proactively escalate critical service outages to Coinbase senior management, ensuring swift and decisive action is taken to guarantee timely resolution and minimize client impact.
  • • Create, document, and refine the essential tools and resources necessary to effectively articulate the value proposition of new integrations and products to clients, utilizing both APIs and developed software to showcase our capabilities.
