- • Own end-to-end sourcing and procurement of components, subassemblies, materials, and services for engineering, R&D, and production operations.
- • Generate, issue, and meticulously track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of critical hardware and materials.
- • Proactively monitor supplier performance and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks across domestic and international vendors.
- • Swiftly resolve supplier issues related to delivery timelines, product quality, and production capacity constraints.
- • Manage inventory for engineering and R&D operations, maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records.
- • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliation to ensure alignment between physical stock and system records.
- • Support demand planning and forecasting activities by collaborating with engineering and production teams.
- • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including managing transfers of Quartermaster-owned inventory between company sites and third-party vendors.
- • Track shipment status and resolve logistics issues to minimize delays in critical project timelines.
- • Develop tools, dashboards, and tracking systems to improve visibility and efficiency in procurement and inventory processes.
- • Establish scalable procurement and inventory workflows that support growing operational demands.
- • Maintain procurement metrics and reporting dashboards to provide actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- • Partner with engineering teams on BOM changes and prototype builds to ensure accurate material sourcing and availability.
- • Support production ramp activities by aligning procurement timelines with manufacturing schedules.
- • Communicate material status, lead time risks, and supply constraints clearly to stakeholders across engineering, production, and operations.
- • Work onsite in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to support daily operations and collaboration with engineering and production teams.
- • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements applicable to defense and technology sectors.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field
- • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, logistics, or inventory management
- • Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and be able to work onsite
- • Experience managing suppliers in a hardware, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, aerospace, or technology environment
- • Strong understanding of procurement, inventory control, and supplier management
