Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Clinical Innovation Scientist at AnewHealth, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing medication management for individuals with complex, chronic needs. This pivotal role is designed for an applied clinical pharmacology expert who will significantly contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of AnewHealth’s sophisticated clinical decision support systems (CDSS).
- • Your primary focus will be on the meticulous execution and refinement of clinical logic, delving into critical areas such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, drug metabolism pathways, drug transporter interactions, and the complex landscape of multi-drug interactions. You will ensure that all logic developed is grounded in scientific rigor and possesses direct clinical relevance across all AnewHealth product capabilities.
- • This position demands a highly collaborative spirit, requiring you to work seamlessly within the Clinical Innovation Team and in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and UX teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in translating cutting-edge scientific evidence and mechanistic insights into robust, production-ready clinical logic.
- • You will be tasked with transforming complex clinical research and academic literature into scalable algorithms, intricate matrices, and actionable decision-support outputs. The ultimate goal is to drive improvements in system efficiency, deepen the mechanistic understanding of drug actions, and champion the safe and effective use of medications for our patient population.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a profound working knowledge of clinical pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, and fundamental pharmacokinetic principles. Crucially, you must be adept at applying this specialized expertise within a dynamic, product-centric environment that values collaboration and innovation.
- • This role emphasizes hands-on execution, unwavering scientific integrity, and the reliable delivery of clinically sound logic into operational systems that directly impact patient care.
- • The AnewHealth Innovation and Experience – Clinical Innovation Team is deeply committed to pioneering proprietary, evidence-based solutions. Our mission is to optimize medication regimens, elevate patient outcomes, reduce unnecessary healthcare utilization, and effectively manage clinical risk. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-impact clinical pharmacology team dedicated to translating scientific advancements into tangible, scalable value for both patients and the business.
- • The Clinical Innovation Team's purpose is to advance applied clinical pharmacy science by developing solutions that are scientifically rigorous, scalable, and clinically impactful. We act as a vital bridge connecting clinical research, product development, and real-world implementation, ensuring that evidence-based insights are effectively translated into practical tools that enhance medication safety, improve patient well-being, and boost healthcare efficiency.
- • Key objectives for the team include advancing the understanding and application of medications through deep dives into pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism pathway mapping, pharmacogenomics, and the development of sophisticated clinical algorithms and decision support systems.
- • We aim to develop innovative tools and frameworks that empower pharmacists to conduct comprehensive medication safety reviews, thereby promoting patient well-being through evidence-based clinical practices.
- • Enhancing operational efficiency and user experience is paramount, achieved by supporting the development and refinement of applications, intuitive user interface tools, clear clinical displays, and informative matrices.
- • Furthermore, the team actively explores and supports new market opportunities by facilitating the adaptation, validation, and scaling of novel clinical pharmacy science applications.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass executing, refining, and maintaining clinical pharmacology- and pharmacogenomics-based decision logic for our CDSS, conducting thorough clinical research and literature reviews to inform CDSS updates and new feature development, and codifying research findings into scalable, production-ready clinical logic.
- • You will interpret and integrate pharmacokinetic (PK) data from various sources to ensure mechanistic accuracy and assist in integrating drug metabolism and transporter data for mechanistic interpretation within the CDSS, aligning with the product roadmap.
- • A significant part of your role will involve researching and evaluating clinical literature, case reports, and scientific data related to drug interactions, side effects, and pharmacogenomics to support database metrics, while maintaining a current knowledge of PK/ADME, PGx, and drug transporter science.
- • Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science, UX, Analytics) is essential for improving system efficiency, user experience, and clinical usability, as is supporting the development of clinical displays, matrices, algorithms, and user interface tools.
- • You will actively participate in cross-functional meetings to review findings, discuss clinical implications, and facilitate knowledge transfer, working within project-directed teams to achieve the Clinical Innovation Team’s objectives.
- • Additional duties include working closely with healthcare data to identify restricted elements, assisting in validation, regression support, documentation, and quality processes, and developing documentation for standard operations, training, and troubleshooting.
- • You will also participate in ensuring valid methods and review processes are developed and followed, comply with all applicable regulations, and support leadership in the high-quality, timely delivery of clinical products and milestones, embodying AnewHealth’s Core Values in all interactions.
