- • Principal AI/ML Architect role at Caylent, a cloud-native services company specializing in AWS solutions, where you will serve as the most experienced ML voice across diverse customer engagements, shaping strategy and architecture for AI systems from early-stage startups to enterprise modernization.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include leading end-to-end ML assessments, partnering with sales on proposals, serving as senior technical authority on client engagements, owning or orchestrating high-quality POCs, advising on MLOps and LLMOps standards, shaping Caylent’s technical wins, and strengthening the internal ML practice through mentorship and thought leadership.
- • Caylent is a global, fully remote company with teams in Canada, the U.S., and Latin America, prioritizing people-first culture, technological curiosity, and inclusive collaboration across diverse backgrounds.
- • In this role, you will deepen your impact as a technical leader, influence enterprise AI strategy at scale, contribute to reusable ML accelerators and reference architectures, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor who translates complex ML tradeoffs into business value.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years in machine learning or AI with a proven track record of leading client-facing engagements in consulting or advisory roles.
- • Deep, current knowledge of the AWS ML and GenAI ecosystem, including end-to-end ML lifecycle expertise from data engineering to monitoring.
- • Deep expertise in at least two or three ML domains (e.g., traditional ML, computer vision, NLP, time series, generative AI) with judgment to advise across the broader ML landscape.
- • Proven ability to architect and govern production ML systems end-to-end, translating MLOps, LLMOps, and AI operations complexity into actionable standards for engineering and executive teams.
- • Deep expertise in foundation model adaptation (fine-tuning, alignment, inference optimization, distributed training) and agentic system design (RAG, multi-agent architectures, human-in-the-loop) on AWS.
- • Proven ability to operate independently in complex customer environments, navigating ambiguity, aligning stakeholders, and translating ML tradeoffs into business risk and value for technical and executive audiences.
