- • As a Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer at Clario, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the company’s digital infrastructure by strengthening security across cloud environments and enterprise systems, directly supporting the mission to unlock better evidence for life-changing therapies.
- • You will design, implement, and continuously improve security controls in alignment with industry best practices, ensuring scalable and resilient protection for sensitive data while enabling innovation across teams.
- • Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and compliance teams to embed security into the software development lifecycle, acting as a technical advisor who translates complex security requirements into practical, actionable guidance.
- • Automate security operations using infrastructure-as-code (IaC), policy-as-code, and CI/CD pipeline integrations to enforce consistent controls across AWS, Azure, and hybrid cloud environments.
- • Manage and optimize security tools including Privileged Access Management (PAM), SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and container security platforms to ensure continuous monitoring, threat detection, and incident response readiness.
- • Conduct regular access reviews, control validations, and compliance assessments (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR) by preparing technical documentation and supporting audit activities with evidence of effective security governance.
- • Research emerging threats and technologies—such as serverless security, runtime protection, and cloud-native application security—to continuously enhance Clario’s defensive capabilities and security maturity.
- • Foster a proactive security culture by promoting awareness, mentoring junior engineers, and advocating for security-by-design principles in cross-functional initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in IT or security operations.
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience in information technology, with focused expertise in cloud security, infrastructure, networking, or DevOps environments.
- • Proven experience securing cloud-native platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads.
- • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), privileged access controls, and zero-trust architecture principles.
- • Proficiency in security automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Bash to implement policy-as-code and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and cloud-specific benchmarks (e.g., AWS Well-Architected Security Pillar).
- • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical risks and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, remote-first environment while managing multiple priorities and driving security initiatives forward.
- • Preferred certifications include CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent credentials demonstrating advanced cloud security expertise.
