- • As a Cloud Engineer at Netrix LLC, you will be a pivotal technical resource within our dynamic Managed Services division, playing a crucial role in the administration, management, and safeguarding of both Netrix's and our valued customers' IT infrastructure. This encompasses a hybrid environment of on-premises hosted solutions and cutting-edge cloud platforms.
- • Reporting directly to the TOC NOC Manager within Managed Services, you will serve as a key escalation point, providing expert support and resolution for issues identified by the TOC NOC, Service Desk, and Systems Teams.
- • Your primary responsibility will involve responding proactively to alerts generated by our sophisticated monitoring and operational tools. This includes meticulously assessing events that require in-depth investigation and coordinating or directly executing initial remediation steps to ensure system stability and minimize disruption.
- • You will be instrumental in the day-to-day operational support of complex IT environments, ensuring seamless performance and availability for our clients.
- • Beyond immediate operational needs, this role actively contributes to the successful execution of small-scale projects, focusing on the ongoing tuning and optimization of our monitoring and alerting systems to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
- • A significant aspect of your contribution will be in proactive maintenance activities, including the diligent application of patches and the remediation of identified vulnerabilities to uphold the highest standards of platform stability, performance, and security.
- • This position demands exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as you will be the primary point of contact for customers during critical incidents and service requests, requiring clear, concise, and reassuring interactions.
- • You will be responsible for the administration, management, and expert troubleshooting of incidents directly tied to Windows and Linux Server environments, virtualization platforms (including Hyper-V and VMware), and Storage Area Networks (SANs), as well as addressing basic network issues.
- • In the realm of Server, Storage, and Virtualization, you will administer, monitor, and troubleshoot incidents across on-premises hosted and cloud-based Windows and Linux Server and Hypervisor environments. This includes deep dives into Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File and Print Services, and virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware, as well as SAN technologies.
- • You will perform essential basic network troubleshooting related to Servers, Virtualization, and SANs. Furthermore, you will assist with LAN-based network provisioning, manage existing DNS configurations, and maintain VPN tunnels, collaborating closely with the Network Team whenever necessary.
- • Routine updates and upgrades to servers, storage systems, hypervisors, and backup environments will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring our infrastructure remains current and secure.
- • You will provide critical guidance and act as the primary escalation point for the TOC NOC, Service Desk, and Systems Teams, supporting both Netrix's internal infrastructure and our diverse customer environments.
- • Collaboration is key; you will work closely with fellow team members to consistently deliver a high level of customer service and achieve departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- • This role requires participation in on-call rotations, which may include weekends and after-hours support, demonstrating your commitment to continuous service delivery.
- • You will be responsible for meticulously documenting configurations, standard operating procedures, and best practices, ensuring that technical documentation is always accurate and up-to-date.
- • Active participation in client onboarding processes, delivery phases, and internal continuous improvement initiatives will be expected, contributing to the overall success and evolution of our services.
- • Adherence to documented Change and Problem Management processes for both Netrix and its customers is mandatory, ensuring a structured and controlled approach to IT operations.
