This pivotal role is instrumental in managing and administering our complex infrastructure, services, projects, and associated resources across these leading cloud environments, with an additional focus on Google Workspace administration. You will be the guardian of our cloud ecosystem, ensuring its unwavering stability, robust security, and peak performance, directly contributing to our mission of guiding enterprises through their AI transformation journeys and enabling them to operate as intelligent enterprises.
• • As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive administration of cloud projects and accounts, including the meticulous creation, precise configuration, and strategic allocation of resources within GCP projects, AWS accounts, and Azure subscriptions. Your expertise will be vital in overseeing the entire lifecycle of various cloud services – from deployment and continuous monitoring to essential maintenance – spanning compute, storage, database, networking, and containerization services across all three major cloud providers.
• • Security is paramount. You will be responsible for implementing and rigorously enforcing industry-leading security best practices across GCP, AWS, and Azure. This includes the strategic management of Identity and Access Management (IAM), robust network security configurations, and stringent data encryption protocols, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our and our clients' data.
• • Proactive cost management and optimization are critical. You will diligently monitor cloud resource utilization, identify opportunities for cost savings, and implement effective strategies to enhance efficiency across our multi-cloud footprint, ensuring optimal financial performance.
• • You will be the first line of defense in troubleshooting and resolving complex cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining high availability for all services.
• • **Specific Cloud Platform Responsibilities:**
• • **Google Cloud Platform (GCP):** You will oversee and manage core GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE). Your role involves implementing and managing security through Google Cloud IAM, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and firewall rules, and establishing a secure cloud landing zone to maximize organizational resource utilization.
• • **Amazon Web Services (AWS):** You will manage and administer essential AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). This includes implementing and managing security using AWS IAM, Security Groups, and Network Access Control Lists (NACLs).
• • **Microsoft Azure:** You will be responsible for overseeing services like Azure Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Your duties will encompass implementing and managing security via Azure Active Directory (AD), Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure Policy.
• • **Google Workspace Administration:** Beyond cloud infrastructure, you will manage Google Workspace groups and their associated access permissions. A key responsibility is configuring and maintaining log exports (log pumps) to BigQuery for in-depth analysis and establishing secure connections to Google Cloud's Security Command Center to bolster the security posture of our Workspace environment.
• • **Cloud Adoption Strategy:** You will contribute to aligning multi-cloud deployments with established Cloud Adoption Frameworks (CAF) and articulate clear business cases for workload migration. You will also manage the overall setup and configuration of cloud landing zones, including GCP Shared VPC, AWS Control Tower, and Azure Landing Zones.
• • **Product and Sandbox Management:** You will administer and support various applications integrated with GCP, AWS, Azure, and Google Workspace. This includes managing and maintaining sandbox environments for development, testing, and experimentation across all cloud platforms, ensuring proper access control and resource allocation for sandbox users.
• • **Automation and Scripting:** You will develop and implement automation scripts using languages like Python, Bash, and Terraform to streamline routine multi-cloud and Workspace operations and infrastructure provisioning. Embracing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, you will ensure consistent management and deployment of resources across GCP, AWS, and Azure.
• • **Network Segmentation:** You will implement robust network segmentation using native cloud networking tools such as VPCs, subnets, VNets, firewall rules, Security Groups, and NSGs to effectively isolate different environments and workloads, enhancing security and manageability.
• • **Identity and Access Management (IAM):** You will establish and maintain a comprehensive cross-cloud IAM strategy, enforcing granular permissions, the principle of least privilege, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all access, leveraging native cloud IAM roles/policies and central identity solutions.
• • **Monitoring and Alerting:** You will set up and manage sophisticated monitoring tools and dashboards for multi-cloud infrastructure, applications, and Google Workspace, utilizing services like Cloud Monitoring, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor. You will also configure alerts and notifications for critical events and performance thresholds to ensure proactive issue resolution.
• • **Logging and Auditing:** You will configure comprehensive logging and monitoring capabilities using native cloud services such as Cloud Logging, AWS CloudTrail/Config, and Azure Monitor/Sentinel. This ensures all activities, security events, and resource utilization are captured for proactive threat detection and compliance auditing.
• • **Security Services Integration:** You will integrate native cloud security services like Security Command Center, AWS Security Hub, and Azure Defender for Cloud to enhance threat protection, vulnerability management, and real-time anomaly detection.
• • **Documentation:** You will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation for our multi-cloud and Workspace architecture, configurations, and operational procedures, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational efficiency.
