• • As a Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the robust, production-grade infrastructure that underpins Tessera's advanced AI systems. This role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to influence architectural decisions across multiple cloud providers, including a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• • You will be an integral part of the Cloud Infrastructure team, responsible for creating and operating the foundational systems that ensure Tessera's reliability, security, and consistency across diverse customer environments. This includes developing and managing a portable cloud infrastructure that renders each environment production-ready, encompassing container orchestration with Kubernetes, sophisticated networking solutions, and automation that guarantees our product performs identically regardless of the underlying cloud provider.
• • This is a high-impact, hands-on, senior individual contributor role for a seasoned professional who possesses a deep passion for systems thinking and a commitment to building infrastructure the 'right' way. Your work will directly enable our ability to onboard and operate enterprise customer environments, adhering to stringent security and compliance mandates while simultaneously preserving developer velocity. By standardizing operational practices across hyperscalers and reducing integration risks, you will ensure that our product teams can deploy innovations rapidly without infrastructure acting as a bottleneck.
• • Your responsibilities will span the entire lifecycle of production infrastructure. You will design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud environments, with a particular emphasis on architecting and owning the GCP variant of Tessera's cloud infrastructure, while also contributing to and supporting other cloud infrastructures. This involves leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily through Terraform, to define, provision, and manage cloud resources in a repeatable and auditable manner.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves working extensively with Kubernetes for container orchestration. You will deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization. This includes configuring Kubernetes clusters, managing deployments, and implementing robust monitoring and alerting strategies.
• • Enhancing the observability, security, and overall system reliability of our infrastructure will be a key focus. You will implement and refine monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions to gain deep insights into system performance and health. Proactive identification and mitigation of potential issues, along with the implementation of security best practices across the infrastructure stack, will be paramount.
• • You will be instrumental in enabling portable infrastructure across customer environments. This involves abstracting away cloud-specific complexities and ensuring a consistent operational experience for our product teams and enterprise clients, irrespective of whether they are on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• • Collaboration is central to this role. You will partner closely with product and platform engineers to understand their needs, provide infrastructure solutions, and unblock their delivery pipelines. This cross-functional interaction ensures that infrastructure decisions align with product roadmaps and business objectives.
• • You will also be involved in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and the adoption of GitOps practices to automate application deployments and infrastructure updates, ensuring a smooth and efficient release process.
