📋 Description

• The Cloud Native Architect is a senior technical leader who owns the technical sales strategy, evaluation approach, and architectural direction for the company's largest and most complex customers, operating at the intersection of cloud native platforms, business outcomes, and executive decision making to guide customers through discovery, validation, and financial justification.
• Day to day, the role leads the full cloud native technical sales lifecycle for opportunities—spanning discovery, architectural alignment, workshops, demonstrations, POC or POV execution, and technical wrap-up—while defining success criteria, guiding validation, securing technical decisions, and engaging senior engineering leaders and executives through briefings, architecture workshops, and steering discussions.
• The role operates within Pure Storage, a company reshaping the data storage industry with innovative thinking and a smart, collaborative team, where the architect contributes beyond individual opportunities by mentoring peers, sharing best practices, and participating in thought leadership through customer forums, community events, and industry engagements.
• In this role, the person can learn to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business and financial value, deepen expertise in Kubernetes-centric data platforms across multi-environment enterprise landscapes, and strengthen long-term customer relationships by driving technical wins that convert into booked revenue and sustained customer momentum.

🎯 Requirements

• Senior-level experience in customer-facing technical roles within software or platform organizations
• Strong exposure to cloud native and Kubernetes-based architectures
• Comfort operating at high/enterprise level with ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear business and financial value
• Experience navigating long-cycle, multi-stakeholder enterprise opportunities
• Strong architectural judgment, clear communication, and ability to collaborate effectively across sales, product, engineering, and customer-facing teams
