- • Co-op/Intern, Internal AI Operations - Summer 2026: A hands-on role focused on developing and operationalizing AI workflows and automations to improve efficiency across Hootsuite’s global SaaS operations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with AI Champions to identify automation opportunities, building and prototyping AI-powered solutions using tools like Gemini, Anthropic API, and Zapier, testing and iterating based on team feedback, tracking and reporting on impact metrics, and gaining exposure to executive-level decision-making through close collaboration with the Chief of Staff and leadership.

The Internal AI Operations team serves as an internal change agent, driving AI adoption to unlock capacity and improve how work gets done across the organization.
- • In this role, you will develop practical AI implementation skills, gain experience in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, learn how to measure and communicate the impact of automation initiatives, and build confidence in experimenting with emerging technologies in a real-world business context.
🎯 Requirements
- • Interest in building with AI: Understanding of how to create AI agents, supported by personal projects, hackathons, or self-directed experimentation.
- • Technical skills: Knowledge or interest in working with APIs, AI tooling (e.g., Anthropic, Gemini), and automation platforms like Zapier; basic programming/scripting (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is an asset.
- • Creativity and innovation: Proclivity to seek better ways of doing things, test ideas rapidly, learn from failures, and implement improvements quickly.
- • Operations skills: Drawn to understanding how systems work and improving them; able to spot inefficiencies and build smooth-running processes.
- • Collaboration and teamwork: Ability to work effectively with others, contribute meaningfully to team goals, and prioritize group success.
- • Open communication: Clear written and verbal expression, active listening, and skill in asking clarifying questions.
- • Nice to have: Educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
