đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Commercial Lean Leader for GE HealthCare's Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business in the United States and Canada (USCAN), you will be instrumental in driving a comprehensive, enterprise-wide lean transformation.
  • • This senior leadership role is P&L-focused, requiring a strategic mindset akin to a CEO or COO, rather than being confined to a specific functional area.
  • • You will interpret complex internal and external business challenges, formulating and recommending best practices to enhance products, processes, and services, while staying abreast of evolving industry trends that could impact our operations.
  • • Partnering closely with one or more business leaders, you will co-own the development and execution of the annual "Lean Road Map" and its supporting action plan, directly contributing to tangible business results.
  • • Your responsibilities will include identifying major processes, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and assigning process/KPI owners to ensure accountability and clarity.
  • • You will meticulously prioritize improvement opportunities, assessing their potential impact, defining the approach, and selecting appropriate methods and tools, all while ensuring maximum business impact and stakeholder engagement.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve the hands-on application of Lean principles and tools, including Problem Solving, Daily Management, Funnel Management, and Kaizen events, to execute the PDx USCAN "Growth Road Map."
  • • You will be responsible for developing and aligning the KPI bowler with the annual operating plan and identified process improvement opportunities, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • • This includes the creation and deployment of action plans necessary to achieve annual objectives and the development and implementation of the "kaizen funnel" to support both short-term and multi-year improvement strategies.
  • • Furthermore, you will establish and deploy the "daily management" implementation funnel to drive consistent progress towards objectives.
  • • A critical function will be the application of the Problem-Solving Process (PSP) for any KPIs that fall below target, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed effectively.
  • • You will establish and execute a roadmap for building, implementing, and measuring Standard Work (SW) across all partner processes, fostering consistency and efficiency.
  • • A key leadership responsibility is to train and coach key team members, building organizational capability to deploy Lean tools independently over time, reducing reliance on the central Lean team.
  • • You will co-own process health check-ins, providing support and guidance to leaders during initial change phases to ensure improvements are sustained and a culture of continuous improvement is cultivated, uncovering new and impactful opportunities.
  • • The Monthly Operating Review (MOR) is the culmination of our Daily Management efforts, and you will own the process for this critical meeting, ensuring it is a highly effective review of key KPIs and improvement progress.
  • • This involves building and implementing Daily Management from the GEMBA level up to the MOR, with a coherent set of KPIs tied to standard work.
  • • You will ensure proper training and coaching for effective daily management, fostering a true "embrace the red" culture where challenges are openly addressed.
  • • You will actively support key Problem Solving efforts and drive skill development in this area across the business, acting as an effective coach for root cause analysis in transactional and commercial settings.
  • • Building strong problem-solving skills throughout the business is a high priority, with a focus on ensuring follow-through on identified countermeasures.
  • • You will also support Hoshin Kanri and "Big Rock" improvement priorities as needed, acting as a coach and developer for business partners and direct reports in their roles as lean leaders.
  • • This includes building core skillsets and driving a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.
  • • Your role will significantly contribute to the overall financial performance of the business unit, driving improvements in customer experience and enhancing the experience of our field sales and commercial support colleagues.
