📋 Description
- • As a Commercial Plans Examiner (Architectural) at Pulley, you will play a critical role in accelerating commercial construction projects by ensuring code compliance and reducing permitting delays through expert review of architectural and engineering plan sets.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting detailed reviews of commercial plan sets for compliance with IBC and other applicable codes, identifying missing information or inconsistencies, evaluating review comments and markups for accuracy, and providing short-form written clarifications of compliance rationale using Pulley’s web-based platform.
- • You will join a mission-driven team at Pulley, a fast-growing company founded in 2021 that leverages AI-powered permitting intelligence to bring predictability to the commercial building lifecycle, supporting major brands and infrastructure projects across the U.S.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in commercial code application, contribute to innovative permitting solutions, and help eliminate costly delays in construction projects while working remotely with flexible hours.
🎯 Requirements
- • Licensed architect (RA) or licensed engineer (PE/SE), or equivalent credential such as FPE, CASp, or ICC specialty certification (Accessibility, Fire, Structural, or Energy Plans Examiner; MCP)
- • 15+ years of commercial construction experience with robust skills in plans coordination, review, and QA/QC, OR 10+ years of commercial experience with 5+ years of commercial plan review at an AHJ or third-party review firm and ICC certification as Building, Combination, or Fire Plans Examiner or Master Code Professional (MCP)
- • Comfort reviewing plans on screen in a web app is essential; ability to work with PDFs and digital plan sets required
