  • • As a Configuration (DevOps) Engineer at Veeam, you will be an integral part of our core development teams, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our software delivery. Veeam, the undisputed global leader in data resilience, empowers businesses worldwide to maintain control over their data, ensuring it's accessible whenever and wherever needed. Our mission is to provide robust data backup, recovery, portability, security, and intelligence solutions that protect over 550,000 customers globally. Join a dynamic and growing organization where innovation, learning, and making a tangible impact are at the forefront of everything we do. We are seeking a talented engineer to drive our CI/CD initiatives forward.
  • • In this role, you will be entrusted with the end-to-end ownership of designing, implementing, and meticulously maintaining our Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. These pipelines are critical for our C#/.NET, C++, and JavaScript/TypeScript projects, ensuring efficient and reliable software builds and deployments.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to develop, continuously monitor, and maintain these CI/CD pipelines. This involves ensuring the stability and performance of our build processes, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or failures promptly, and proactively optimizing them for speed and efficiency. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our development teams can deliver high-quality software with speed and confidence.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be the design and implementation of sophisticated continuous build chains. This requires a deep understanding of software build processes and the ability to architect robust and scalable solutions that can handle the demands of large-scale software development.
  • • You will be responsible for automating the deployment of test environments. This includes setting up and managing environments on both Windows Server and Linux platforms within a VMware vSphere infrastructure, leveraging the power of Ansible playbooks to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • • Writing and maintaining scripts will be a core part of your daily activities. These scripts will be crucial for various aspects of infrastructure automation, system monitoring, and configuration management, enabling us to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
  • • You will actively optimize and enhance our CI processes. This encompasses improving code build times, ensuring the effectiveness and speed of automated tests, implementing and refining static code analysis tools, and managing the deployment of build artifacts to various repositories like Artifactory.
  • • Proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of pipeline failures will be essential. You will need to quickly diagnose issues, implement effective solutions, and work towards preventing recurrence. Optimizing build performance to reduce lead times and meticulously documenting the pipeline architecture and operational standards will also be key.
  • • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and IT operations teams to ensure a seamless product delivery lifecycle. Your efforts in automating routine processes will directly contribute to the efficiency and productivity of these teams.
  • • Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all processes, procedures, and configurations is vital. This ensures clear communication, facilitates knowledge sharing, and guarantees continuity within the team and across the organization.
  • • You will be working with a modern technology stack including TeamCity, Azure DevOps (YAML Pipelines), GitLab, Artifactory, VMware vSphere, Ansible + AWX, Docker, Git, NuGet, Conan, Prometheus + Grafana, AWS, and Azure. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, and Kotlin will be highly valued.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a market-leading company, working on cutting-edge technologies and impacting the delivery of world-class software. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values continuous learning and professional growth.
