- • Design conversational flows for AI interactions across chat, task completion, and assistant-guided workflows to enable reliable, long-running user interactions.
- • Define how the AI sets expectations, signals uncertainty, asks for necessary input, and communicates errors or limitations clearly to users.
- • Develop prompts, response templates, fallback patterns, and assistant behaviors tailored for multi-step and persistent workflows with non-deterministic model behavior.
- • Design user mechanisms to supervise, interrupt, correct, and redirect AI behavior through natural conversation without disrupting task continuity.
- • Create communication frameworks that build trust and transparency while avoiding information overload, ensuring users maintain control throughout extended interactions.
- • Collaborate with product, engineering, and machine learning teams to align conversation design with system capabilities around ambiguity, memory, and cross-session context handling.
- • Analyze real conversation logs to identify failure points, misaligned user expectations, and gaps in recovery pathways for AI responses.
- • Establish and refine tone, voice, and response principles across diverse user needs and product surfaces, ensuring consistency and appropriateness.
- • Build and maintain comprehensive conversation design standards, pattern libraries, and documentation to scale best practices across the product.
- • Iterate on conversational UX based on user feedback, system performance data, and evolving product requirements in a fast-moving, high-talent-density environment.
- • Ensure the AI assistant communicates progress, limitations, and context awareness in ways that feel intuitive, humane, and reliable over time.
- • Define how the system handles memory across sessions, retains user intent, and adapts responses based on prior interactions without assuming user recall.
- • Translate complex technical constraints around non-deterministic AI behavior into clear, user-friendly conversational strategies.
- • Prioritize clarity, precision, and emotional resonance in every word the AI communicates, understanding how language impacts user trust and task completion.
- • Work within an environment that values rapid iteration, collective decision-making, and independent execution to deliver a truly magical AI experience.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience in conversation design, UX writing, interaction design, or a related field.
- • Strong understanding of conversational UX for AI products, chatbots, voice assistants, or assistant-led workflows.
- • Ability to design multi-turn interactions, including prompting flows, error recovery, clarification, and context handoff.
- • Clear thinking about how AI systems should communicate trust, limitations, progress, and failure.
- • Experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and ML teams.
- • Comfort working with evolving product requirements and non-deterministic system behavior.
