TrueLogic Company is seeking a dynamic Senior Software Engineer to join our client, Cairns Health, a pioneering organization dedicated to creating a fundamentally better healthcare experience for individuals managing chronic health conditions and their caregivers.
• This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of conversational AI, advanced radar technology, hardware integration, and Large Language Models (LLMs). You will play a pivotal role in the success and evolution of Cairns Health's innovative product, contributing to a mission that makes healthcare more accessible, simplifies complex care plans, and connects care teams effectively.
• Your primary responsibilities will encompass both front-end and back-end development, leveraging modern frameworks like React and React Native for our web and mobile applications. You will be instrumental in building responsive, mobile-first user interfaces and ensuring seamless user experiences across all platforms.
• A significant aspect of this role involves developing and enhancing a robust backend architecture designed to support our mobile health and wellness app specifically tailored for seniors. This includes optimizing the application for critical performance metrics such as latency, concurrency, and uptime, ensuring a reliable and efficient service for our users.
• You will be a key contributor in creating interactive, data-driven mobile and web applications, utilizing a modern tech stack to deliver exceptional functionality and user engagement. This involves not only building new features but also enhancing existing ones to power both front-end interactions and sophisticated device functionalities.
• Beyond core application development, this position offers invaluable hands-on experience with a diverse range of technologies. You will gain exposure to embedded devices, delve deeper into front-end and back-end development, and work extensively with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

• Enhancing our backend systems is crucial to powering the advanced features of both our front-end applications and the integrated device functionalities. This involves ensuring scalability, security, and performance as the user base and feature set grow.
• This role provides an exceptional opportunity to gain practical experience with real-time data processing and communication systems, such as Kafka and MQTT, which are vital for the continuous monitoring and interaction capabilities of the Cairns Health platform.
• You will also be responsible for implementing and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, likely using tools like GitHub Actions, to streamline the development and release process. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential for iterative development and effective team collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, combined with 3-5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in React and React Native for building responsive, mobile-first user interfaces, with strong experience in Redux for effective state management.
• Strong proficiency in Java 11+ for developing robust server-side applications and experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, and proficiency in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes, including experience with AWS EKS/ECS.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka and MQTT, and experience with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
