- • Corporate Development Associate role focused on leading M&A origination efforts for Harris Computer Systems Corporation in India, driving acquisition activity by researching and engaging with software company founders and executives.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and identifying vertical market software companies aligned with Harris’ thesis, building and nurturing long-term relationships with founders and executives, managing outreach schedules to meet targets, maintaining relationships with bankers and ecosystem players, engaging target companies to encourage discussions, supporting qualification of potential targets, moving opportunities through the M&A pipeline, and traveling domestically as needed to strengthen stakeholder relationships.
- • Part of Harris International Portfolio, reporting directly to the Head of M&A, operating within a strategy focused on acquiring, strengthening, and growing mission-critical software businesses globally as part of Constellation Software Inc., one of the world’s most active acquirers of software businesses.
- • Opportunity to develop expertise in M&A deal origination, relationship management in the software industry, strategic research, pipeline development, and cross-functional collaboration within a high-impact corporate development team at a globally active acquirer.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Development (IT) or M&A deal origination
- • Aptitude and passion for relationship management, research, and lead generation
- • Basic understanding of M&A processes and financial principles preferred
- • Demonstrated planning skills aimed at growing the opportunities pipeline
- • Persistence, patience, and results-oriented mindset
- • Self-starter with no fear of cold-calling
- • Fluent in English
- • Bachelor’s or PG degree from a top-ranking institute (Business/Economics/Finance is an asset)
- • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM is preferred
