- • As a Corporate Law & Securities Expert at xAI Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to create AI systems that understand the universe by providing expert-level data annotations in corporate law and securities domains. Your work will directly influence the training and performance of cutting-edge AI models, ensuring they can accurately interpret complex legal documents, regulatory filings, and financial transactions—bridging the gap between legal expertise and artificial intelligence innovation.
- • You will utilize proprietary annotation tools to label and curate high-quality datasets derived from real-world corporate law materials, including SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, S-1s), investment banking transaction documents (prospectuses, offering memoranda, indentures, credit agreements), M&A documentation (merger agreements, purchase agreements, disclosure schedules), corporate governance materials, and regulatory compliance filings. This involves applying deep legal knowledge to identify, interpret, and label nuanced legal concepts, clauses, and structures with precision and consistency.
- • Collaborating closely with xAI’s technical teams—including machine learning engineers, data scientists, and product developers—you will help refine annotation workflows, improve tool usability, and contribute to the design of AI training paradigms that reflect authentic legal reasoning and document analysis patterns.
- • You will autonomously select and analyze complex legal problems within corporate law and securities, leveraging your background to identify edge cases, ambiguities, and high-value training examples that challenge and improve AI model robustness, adaptability, and contextual understanding.
- • Your role demands adaptability and intellectual agility as you interpret evolving instructions, manage ambiguous inputs, and exercise independent judgment—often working with incomplete or evolving data—to produce reliable, high-fidelity annotations that support iterative model improvement.

🎯 Requirements
- • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission to a U.S. state bar.
- • Professional experience at a top-tier white-shoe law firm or as legal counsel at a bulge-bracket investment bank.
- • Direct experience drafting and reviewing SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, registration statements), investment banking transaction documents (prospectuses, offering memoranda, bond indentures, credit agreements), and/or M&A documentation (merger agreements, purchase agreements, disclosure schedules).
- • Strong understanding of securities law, corporate governance, and capital markets transactions.
- • Excellent reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and ability to exercise autonomous judgment with limited or evolving information.
- • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with proficiency in professional English.
