Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end travel journey for Fortune-500 and mid-market corporate clients, acting as the single point of contact for everything from simple domestic flights to complex multi-leg, multi-currency international itineraries.
- • Masterfully navigate Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo, or Galileo to construct cost-effective and policy-compliant bookings, leveraging fare rules, negotiated rates, and preferred supplier agreements to save clients money while elevating traveler experience.
- • Provide white-glove service that anticipates traveler needs before they arise—proactively offering seat upgrades, lounge access, ground transportation, visa guidance, or travel insurance to ensure seamless trips and repeat business.
- • Interpret and enforce each client’s unique travel policy in real time, balancing traveler preferences with corporate mandates on cabin class, preferred airlines, advance-purchase windows, and expense thresholds to maintain 100 % compliance.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve disruptions 24/7—weather delays, missed connections, last-minute cancellations—by rebooking, negotiating waivers, and communicating updates via phone, chat, and email until the traveler is safely on their way.
- • Collaborate in a high-performing, fully remote team spread across Australia; mentor junior consultants, share GDS shortcuts, and contribute to daily huddles that celebrate wins and surface process improvements.
- • Track and report on key performance indicators such as average handle time, policy compliance, customer satisfaction (CSAT), and cost savings, using dashboards to identify trends and recommend service enhancements.
- • Champion inclusion and diversity by participating in global INclusion Groups, sharing cultural insights that help tailor service for international travelers, and advocating for accessibility in travel planning.
- • Continuously upskill through Amex GBT’s learning platform—access 20,000+ courses, attend live GDS masterclasses, and pursue leadership pathways that have propelled over 60 % of current managers from this very role.
- • Contribute to innovation pilots—test new AI booking tools, mobile app features, and sustainability options—then provide feedback that shapes the next generation of corporate travel technology.
- • Work a rotating roster between 8 AM and 8 PM AEST, Monday through Sunday, ensuring coverage during peak business hours and earning weekend shift penalties that boost your take-home pay.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native-level proficiency in at least one major GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo, or Galileo) with the ability to build, price, and ticket complex itineraries without assistance
- • Demonstrated background in corporate, leisure, or airline reservation environments with a strong grasp of fare construction, ticketing timelines, and international travel regulations
- • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex travel options clearly to C-suite executives and administrative assistants alike
- • Meticulous attention to detail—every passport number, visa requirement, and seat preference must be accurate to ensure traveler safety and policy compliance
- • Resilience and autonomy in resolving high-pressure disruptions while maintaining a calm, solution-oriented demeanor over phone, chat, or email
- • Availability to work a rotating 7.5-hour shift between 8 AM and 8 PM AEST, including weekends and public holidays
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100 % remote flexibility—work from anywhere in New South Wales with a provided home-office stipend and secure technology setup
- • Competitive base salary plus weekend shift penalties and annual performance bonuses tied to CSAT and cost-saving targets
- • Comprehensive health and welfare insurance, retirement contributions, parental leave, adoption assistance, and mental-wellbeing programs starting day one
- • Travel perks including weekly exclusive deals on flights, hotels, cruises, and car rentals for personal use, plus discounted travel insurance
- • Unlimited access to a world-class learning platform with 20,000+ courses, leadership development tracks, and first preference for internal promotions—over 60 % of leadership began in this role
