� Description

• • Step into the heartbeat of global capital markets as an Application Support Analyst at ION Group, where your daily work directly influences the performance of trading floors, risk desks, and treasury operations across Europe. You will become the trusted technical and functional partner for our clients, ensuring that ION and LIST market-leading solutions run flawlessly 24/7.
• • Own the end-to-end life-cycle of application support: from proactive monitoring of real-time data feeds and batch processes, through rapid triage of incidents, to permanent resolution and root-cause analysis. Your dashboards and alerts will be the first line of defense against market disruption.
• • Act as the single point of contact for traders, risk managers, and operations teams when they need clarity on system behaviour. You will translate complex technical events into concise business language, guiding users through work-arounds, configuration changes, or new feature roll-outs.
• • Configure, test, and validate new functionalities in close collaboration with product engineering, QA, and client project teams. Your meticulous test scripts and sign-off documents will guarantee that every release meets the exacting standards of Tier-1 banks and hedge funds.
• • Monitor and control the quality of mission-critical datasets—prices, positions, risk metrics, and regulatory reports—executing daily reconciliations and exception-based checks that protect our clients from costly data errors.
• • Champion continuous improvement by analysing recurring incidents and user pain-points, then proposing automation, process re-engineering, or knowledge-base enhancements that reduce mean-time-to-resolution and elevate client satisfaction.
• • Develop and maintain crystal-clear functional documentation, training decks, and quick-reference guides that empower end-users to exploit the full power of the ION platform while reducing support volume.
• • Deliver engaging classroom and virtual training sessions for new joiners and power users alike, tailoring content to both technical and non-technical audiences and measuring knowledge retention through quizzes and practical exercises.
• • Collaborate with a multicultural, cross-functional squad that spans Milan, Pisa, and Trieste, sharing on-call duties and weekend coverage (Milan only) to guarantee seamless service. Your shift flexibility ensures that European markets open—and close—without incident.
• • Influence the product roadmap by feeding real-world client feedback to product managers and developers, ensuring that future releases solve the most pressing business challenges and keep ION at the forefront of fintech innovation.

� Requirements

• • 1.5+ years of hands-on application support or business analyst experience within fintech, capital markets, or treasury technology environments
• • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field
• • Working knowledge of SQL for querying relational databases and performing data quality checks
• • Fluency in both English and Italian (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with local and international stakeholders
• • Valid EU work permit with no restrictions on full-time employment in Italy
• • Willingness to work rotating shifts and occasional weekends (weekend requirement applies only to Milan location)
