đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Hellobackpack, a pioneering force in pediatric and family mental healthcare, dedicated to breaking down barriers and healing young minds. We are committed to providing accessible, inclusive, and comprehensive mental health services, and we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to join our team on a part-time, remote basis.
  • • As a Credentialing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our healthcare providers meet all necessary licensing, certification, and insurance credentialing requirements. Your meticulous work will directly contribute to our ability to serve children and families effectively and ethically, upholding the highest standards of care and compliance.
  • • This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a structured environment, possesses exceptional administrative skills, and has a keen eye for detail. You will be instrumental in managing the complex and ever-evolving landscape of provider credentialing, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from application to approval.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to manage the end-to-end credentialing process for our network of mental health professionals. This includes initiating, processing, and tracking provider applications for various insurance panels and state licensing boards. You will meticulously review applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documentation is submitted and verified.
  • • You will be responsible for maintaining an up-to-date and accurate database of all provider credentials, licenses, certifications, and insurance enrollments. This involves regular audits and updates to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and payer policies. Proactive management of expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and insurance contracts will be a key aspect of your role, preventing any lapse in provider eligibility.
  • • Collaborating closely with providers, you will guide them through the credentialing process, answering questions, and assisting with the completion of necessary paperwork. You will act as a primary point of contact for providers regarding their credentialing status, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • • You will also liaise with insurance companies, government agencies, and other relevant third parties to facilitate the credentialing and enrollment process. This includes submitting applications, following up on status updates, and resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
  • • A significant part of your role will involve staying abreast of changes in credentialing regulations, payer requirements, and industry best practices. You will proactively identify potential compliance risks and implement necessary adjustments to our processes to mitigate them.
  • • You will be responsible for preparing and submitting reports on credentialing status, provider demographics, and compliance metrics to management. Your insights will help inform strategic decisions and ensure the continued growth and integrity of our provider network.
  • • This role requires a strong understanding of medical staff credentialing principles and practices, as well as familiarity with various electronic credentialing platforms and software. You will be expected to manage multiple applications simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team. A commitment to confidentiality and data security is paramount, as you will be handling sensitive provider information.
  • • By ensuring our providers are fully credentialed and compliant, you will directly enable Hellobackpack to expand its reach and provide vital mental health services to more children and families. Your contribution will be integral to our mission of making mental healthcare accessible and effective for everyone.
  • • This part-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute your expertise from the comfort of your home. You will be an essential part of a passionate team dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of young people and their families.
  • • We value a proactive approach to problem-solving and encourage you to identify opportunities for process improvement within the credentialing function. Your input will be highly valued as we continuously strive to enhance our operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • • Ultimately, your success in this role will be measured by the efficiency and accuracy of the credentialing process, the timely enrollment of providers with payers, and the maintenance of a compliant and up-to-date provider database, all of which are critical to Hellobackpack's mission and operational success.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in healthcare provider credentialing, including familiarity with primary source verification, CAQH, and payer enrollment processes.
  • • Strong understanding of state licensing board requirements and insurance payer credentialing guidelines.
  • • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • • Proficiency in using credentialing software and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
  • • Flexible, part-time remote work schedule.
  • • Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission in pediatric mental healthcare.
  • • Professional development opportunities within a growing organization.
