  • • As a Credit Data Analyst at RightCard Payments Limited, you will be the pivotal analytical force driving our credit decision-making processes and providing critical insights into portfolio performance. Your core mission will be to transform raw lending data into clear, actionable intelligence that directly informs underwriting strategies, optimizes portfolio management, supports accurate valuation, and shapes our commercial strategy.
  • • This role transcends mere reporting; you will be instrumental in uncovering subtle trends, identifying potential risks before they escalate, and articulating the narrative behind the numbers. Your ability to translate complex data into compelling stories will empower senior leadership and credit teams to make swift, confident, and well-informed decisions throughout the entire lending lifecycle.
  • • You will operate at the very heart of our lending business, functioning as a hands-on, data-driven expert embedded within the Credit function. This strategic positioning ensures close collaboration with key stakeholders across Data, Risk, Finance, and Commercial teams, fostering a unified approach to credit excellence.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of analytical activities, including performing in-depth ad hoc analyses on lending portfolio performance, dissecting customer behavior patterns, understanding the drivers of credit risk, and evaluating product outcomes. This deep dive into data will provide the foundation for strategic recommendations.
  • • A significant part of your contribution will involve designing, building, and maintaining robust management dashboards, essential recurring performance reports, and critical KPI tracking systems. These tools will be vital for both day-to-day operational oversight and long-term strategic planning, ensuring that performance is consistently monitored and understood.
  • • You will conduct sophisticated cohort analysis, a crucial element for informing business valuation, guiding product development initiatives, and refining our credit strategy. This analysis will provide invaluable insights into how performance evolves over time, allowing for proactive adjustments and optimizations.
  • • A key proactive element of your role will be to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and untapped growth opportunities by leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous analytical reasoning. Your foresight will be critical in navigating the dynamic financial landscape.
  • • You will provide essential deep-dive analysis to support major strategic initiatives, presenting your findings with clarity, conciseness, and impact to senior stakeholders. Your ability to communicate complex analytical outcomes effectively will directly influence high-level decision-making.
  • • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your success. You will work closely with decision science, underwriting, finance, product, and commercial teams to translate analytical insights into tangible business actions, ensuring that data-driven recommendations are implemented effectively.
  • • Ensuring compliance is paramount. You will meticulously ensure that all analysis and reporting adhere to internal standards and meet stringent regulatory requirements, including those set forth by the FCA and CONC guidelines, maintaining the integrity and legality of our credit operations.
  • • You are expected to be a data-driven individual with a natural curiosity for exploring data, asking pertinent questions, and uncovering insights that lead to improved credit and commercial outcomes. Your analytical mindset will be your greatest asset.
  • • A keen eye for detail is essential. You must demonstrate a deep commitment to accuracy, consistency, and reliability, particularly when handling sensitive financial and credit data, ensuring the integrity of all analyses.
  • • A strong commercial acumen is required. You should understand the direct connection between analytical work and overall business performance, valuation, and strategic direction, adeptly tailoring your insights to resonate with decision-makers.
  • • Your collaborative spirit will be vital. You will communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering an environment of transparency and shared success.
  • • Adaptability is key in our fast-paced fintech environment. You will take ownership of your work, embrace change proactively, and thrive in a dynamic setting, contributing to our continuous evolution.
  • • You will leverage strong technical expertise in SQL and Python, coupled with hands-on experience in cloud data warehouses and data transformation tools such as dbt, to perform complex data manipulations and analyses.
  • • Your experience within UK consumer lending, fintech, or broader financial services, including familiarity with credit and lending workflows, will be invaluable in contextualizing your analytical work.
  • • You will demonstrate a proven ability to conduct cohort analysis and support valuation or financial modeling for strategic decision-making, showcasing your impact on business strategy.
  • • A solid understanding of credit portfolio KPIs, risk metrics, and lending performance drivers across the entire credit lifecycle is expected, enabling you to speak the language of credit risk and performance.
  • • Hands-on experience with credit bureau data and internal credit performance datasets will be crucial for conducting comprehensive analyses and deriving meaningful insights.
  • • You will be skilled at translating complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders, approaching your work with a proactive, analytical, and commercially-minded perspective.
  • • The interview process is designed to assess your capabilities thoroughly, beginning with a chat with a Talent Partner, followed by a Behaviours & Culture Interview, a Technical Assignment with presentation, and concluding with a Final Interview.
