đź“‹ Description
- • Ramp is revolutionizing financial operations for modern businesses, especially within the public sector, by leveraging AI to streamline processes and drive significant cost and time savings. As a Customer Activation Manager for our Public Sector team, you will be at the forefront of this transformation, playing a pivotal role in shaping how government agencies, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations adopt and benefit from Ramp's innovative financial platform. This is a unique opportunity to be an early member of a rapidly growing team, contributing directly to the strategic direction and operational success of Ramp's engagement with public sector clients.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to lead the successful onboarding and implementation of Ramp for newly acquired public sector customers. This involves navigating the complexities of government implementation processes and ensuring strict adherence to security requirements. You will be the main point of contact, guiding clients through every step of the rollout, from initial setup to full integration, ensuring a seamless and compliant transition to Ramp's financial operations platform.
- • A key aspect of this role is driving adoption across a diverse and often complex stakeholder landscape within public sector organizations. You will collaborate closely with multiple departments, including finance, procurement, IT, and compliance teams, to understand their unique objectives and demonstrate how Ramp can be strategically aligned to meet and exceed them. Building strong relationships with these stakeholders will be crucial for successful integration and long-term engagement.
- • You will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant to your public sector clients. This involves providing expert guidance on best practices for financial operations, optimizing existing workflows, and facilitating effective change management tailored to the specific needs and challenges of government and non-profit entities. Your insights will empower these organizations to modernize their financial systems and achieve greater efficiency.
- • Ensuring compliance and security alignment is paramount in the public sector. You will actively support customers in meeting relevant regulations, such as FedRAMP, state procurement policies, and other sector-specific mandates, while facilitating the integration of Ramp into their existing technology ecosystem. This requires a deep understanding of the regulatory environment and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable implementation steps.
- • Beyond initial implementation, you will focus on maximizing the utilization and value derived from Ramp's platform. This proactive approach involves identifying opportunities for expanded adoption, driving deeper product engagement, and demonstrating measurable Return on Investment (ROI) for public institutions. Your efforts will directly contribute to the tangible benefits our clients experience.
- • Collaboration is central to success at Ramp. You will work hand-in-hand with Account Executives to ensure a smooth handover from sales to implementation, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to deliver tailored solutions and swiftly resolve any customer needs or technical challenges. This cross-functional synergy ensures a cohesive and effective customer experience.
- • You will be instrumental in collecting and sharing valuable customer insights from the public sector. Your feedback will directly influence product roadmaps, helping to shape the future development of Ramp's offerings for this critical vertical. Participating in workshops and providing direct input will be key to ensuring Ramp continues to meet the evolving needs of government and non-profit clients.
- • This role demands strong organizational and time management skills, as you will be managing multiple priorities simultaneously. You will need to balance implementation timelines, follow-up activities, reporting requirements, and proactive engagement across a diverse portfolio of accounts, each with its own unique complexities and timelines. The ability to effectively prioritize and manage these competing demands is essential for success.
- • As an early member of the Public Sector team, you will have the unique opportunity to help define and refine Ramp's activation and growth methodologies for this market. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on how Ramp serves and scales within government, education, and non-profit sectors, positioning you as a key player in a high-growth, mission-driven company.

- • Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- • Demonstrated success working with technical counterparts in Product, Engineering, and Security to troubleshoot and co-develop solutions.
