- • As a Customer Success Associate at CAS, you will be instrumental in empowering small and medium-sized US businesses by providing exceptional bookkeeping services and fostering proactive client relationships. This role is designed for individuals who possess a keen eye for detail, a deeply empathetic approach to client care, and a solid foundation in bookkeeping principles. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of 60–80+ clients, ensuring their financial records are meticulously maintained using cash-based accounting methods. Your primary objective will be to serve as a trusted advisor and a reliable point of contact for business owners, guiding them through their financial landscape.
- • This is far more than a standard bookkeeping position; it demands a proactive and engaged approach. Success hinges on your ability to consistently follow up with clients, communicate with clarity and empathy, take full ownership of your deliverables, and adeptly solve problems before they escalate. You will also play a crucial role in collaborating with internal teams to refine our systems and processes, contributing to the overall enhancement of our service delivery.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire bookkeeping lifecycle for your assigned clients. This includes the diligent collection and management of financial data, accurate categorization of transactions, and thorough reconciliation of accounts. You will maintain general ledgers, ensuring the completeness and integrity of all data, and make necessary adjustments to resolve any discrepancies. A critical part of your role involves conducting monthly reviews to guarantee that financial records are not only accurate but also up-to-date, culminating in the finalization of bookkeeping to produce reliable monthly financial statements. Maintaining clean and organized client data will be essential for seamless cross-team visibility and efficient operations.
- • Client communication and account ownership are at the heart of this role. You will be the main point of contact for your clients, engaging with them through various channels including phone, email, and in-app messaging. Your day-to-day will involve responding promptly to inquiries, resolving bookkeeping issues efficiently, and proactively reaching out to collect necessary documentation. You will guide clients through understanding their financial reports and processes, and crucially, build strong, trust-based relationships with these small business owners. Consistent outreach is paramount, as busy business owners rely on your proactive engagement to ensure their bookkeeping remains current and accurate.
- • Problem-solving and quality control are integral to maintaining high standards. You will be expected to identify potential issues within financial records, propose effective solutions, and ensure strict adherence to bookkeeping standards and internal processes. Taking full ownership of account accuracy and client satisfaction is a key performance indicator. Furthermore, you will provide thoughtful recommendations to help clients optimize their bookkeeping workflows, adding significant value beyond basic data entry.
- • Collaboration and continuous improvement are core tenets of our work environment. You will work closely with your Team Lead to monitor portfolio progress and share valuable feedback aimed at enhancing internal systems and service delivery. Collaborating with other internal teams will be vital for improving the overall customer experience. Your contributions in suggesting ideas to boost operational efficiency and inform product development will be highly valued.
- • You will leverage a suite of modern tools and systems, including cloud-based bookkeeping software such as QuickBooks and Xero, our proprietary internal bookkeeping platform and client app, Salesforce for CRM, Slack for communication, and a knowledge base like Confluence. Proficiency in phone, email, and messaging tools for client interaction is also expected.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of US industries and modern bookkeeping technologies. You will benefit from tight feedback loops and well-documented methodologies, fostering rapid professional growth. The position requires a commitment to North American business hours, offering flexibility between PST and EST schedules, and is a full-time, exclusive engagement.
- • Ultimately, success in this role is measured by the consistent accuracy and timeliness of client portfolios, the feeling of support and confidence clients have in their financials, the organization and readiness of documentation, your proactive approach to preventing bottlenecks, and your active contribution to improving internal systems and processes. You will be a key player in ensuring our clients' financial health and our company's operational excellence.
