- • You will gain comprehensive, hands-on experience across the entire customer lifecycle, from initial onboarding and deployment to fostering deep product adoption, driving growth, and cultivating customer advocacy. This internship is designed to provide a strategic understanding of how Customer Success professionals partner with clients to achieve their business objectives and unlock tangible outcomes.
- • Delve into the business intricacies of customer journeys, understanding the transition from partial or nascent deployment to full-scale utilization of Okta's platform. You will explore core Customer Success concepts, including the nuances of recurring revenue models, optimizing license activation and adoption rates, managing subscriptions effectively, calculating return on investment (ROI), conducting business value assessments, and developing strategic success plans.
- • Gain valuable technical insights into the realm of Identity Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance, and Privileged Access. You will develop an understanding of critical cybersecurity principles such as Zero Trust and Least Privilege, essential for modern security postures. Furthermore, you will have the exciting opportunity to work towards becoming Okta Professional Certified, a fundamental certification that validates your mastery of Okta's core technology.
- • Explore the innovative application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing Customer Success strategies and best practices, positioning you at the forefront of technological advancements in the field.
- • Hone your functional skills in business communication, encompassing both written and verbal proficiency. You will develop compelling presentation skills, capable of engaging and influencing diverse audiences, including upper management, external clients, and executives.
- • Learn to articulate the profound business value of Okta's products and solutions through engaging demonstrations, persuasive presentations, and impactful storytelling. You will master the art of translating technical features into tangible business benefits.
- • Observe, listen, and shadow experienced Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to build a deep understanding of customer success stories, effective onboarding plans, robust success strategies, the competitive landscape, and industry best practices in Identity and Access Management (IAM). This mentorship will equip you to support business outcomes and assist in problem-solving, acting as a valuable advocate for our customers.
- • Gain exposure to and learn the operational playbook for Okta's Scale Customer Success motion, understanding how we efficiently support a broad customer base.
- • Collaborate effectively with a diverse range of cross-functional teams, including Sales, Sales Engineering, Renewals, Marketing, and Customer Advocacy. This collaborative environment will provide a holistic view of the customer journey and the interconnectedness of various business functions.
- • Contribute to real-world projects that have a tangible impact on Okta's success and our customers' achievements. You will be an active participant in the intern program, working on meaningful assignments under the guidance of experienced mentors and managers.
