  • • As a Customer Success Manager based in Germany, you will be a pivotal member of our dynamic Customer Success team. Your primary mission will be to serve as the ultimate champion for our Kong customers. You will be the go-to post-sales contact, expertly navigating the complexities of technical, product, and support inquiries on a daily basis. This role extends beyond reactive problem-solving; you will be instrumental in establishing, implementing, and executing strategic processes and projects designed to ensure the seamless and successful adoption of Kong products. You'll have the unique opportunity to engage with a diverse range of individuals within customer organizations, from hands-on developers to senior executives. By deeply understanding their business objectives, operational challenges, and technical landscapes, you will effectively represent Kong's values and guide them in achieving maximum value from our innovative platform.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of customer engagement and strategic enablement:
  • • Proactively engage with customers, primarily responding to inbound requests with a focus on delivering exceptional service and timely resolutions.
  • • Spearhead the onboarding of new customers, meticulously validating their unique needs, defining critical project timelines, and proactively identifying potential challenges and risk factors to ensure a smooth transition.
  • • Drive the adoption and effective implementation of Kong product features by leading engaging, hands-on product demonstrations and in-depth technical workshop sessions tailored to customer requirements.
  • • Conduct periodic health checks and reviews of customer Kong implementations to ensure optimal performance, identify areas for improvement, and proactively address any potential issues.
  • • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each customer's specific use case, technical architecture, and future roadmap, acting as their advocate internally and documenting these insights thoroughly.
  • • Collaborate closely with customers to explore emerging use cases and identify opportunities to expand their utilization of Kong's powerful API platform, fostering innovation and growth.
  • • Cultivate active, meaningful, and enduring relationships with your customer portfolio, establishing yourself as their trusted technical advisor and a true partner in their success.
  • • Contribute valuable technical expertise during renewal or expansion discussions, working in close alignment with our Sales and Renewal teams to ensure customer needs are met and opportunities are maximized.
  • • Skillfully manage the tracking and resolution of customer escalations, acting as a dedicated advocate on behalf of products and services to ensure swift and effective outcomes.
  • • Systematically manage customer accounts utilizing Kong’s established customer maturity model framework, guiding customers through defined stages of adoption and value realization.
  • • Undertake any additional tasks as required by your manager, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team objectives.
  • • This role is ideal for a proactive, technically adept, and relationship-driven individual who is passionate about helping customers succeed with complex technology solutions. You will be a key player in shaping the customer journey and contributing to Kong's continued growth and leadership in the API and AI connectivity space.
