- • As a Customer Success Manager, Strategic at Vanta, you will be at the forefront of empowering some of the world's largest and most complex organizations to build and prove trust. This senior, high-impact role is designed for an individual who thrives on executive engagement, driving substantial business value, and navigating intricate global compliance landscapes. You will be entrusted with a portfolio of Vanta’s most strategic accounts, typically comprising organizations with over 10,000 employees, operating within highly regulated and international environments. Your primary objective will be to serve as a trusted strategic advisor, fostering deep executive alignment and ensuring Vanta is not just a tool, but an integral component of their overarching security and compliance strategy.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to cultivating long-term partnerships, driving measurable business outcomes, and ensuring the continuous success and expansion of these key accounts. This involves a proactive and consultative approach, understanding the unique challenges and objectives of each client, and tailoring Vanta's solutions to meet their evolving needs. You will be the primary point of contact for C-suite executives, including CISOs, CIOs, Heads of GRC, and other executive sponsors, building strong relationships based on trust, expertise, and demonstrable value.
- • A core aspect of your role will be to develop and execute comprehensive account success plans. These plans will be meticulously crafted to align with each customer's specific security objectives and to demonstrate tangible business outcomes achieved through their partnership with Vanta. This requires a deep understanding of their industry, regulatory pressures, and internal operational dynamics. You will be instrumental in driving large-scale onboarding processes, ensuring seamless integration of Vanta across multiple business units and geographical locations within these enterprise clients.
- • Collaboration will be key. You will work hand-in-hand with our Account Executives to identify and capitalize on expansion opportunities. This includes exploring the adoption of additional Vanta solutions, such as advanced compliance frameworks, Trust Reports, Risk Management modules, and other offerings that can further enhance a customer's security posture and compliance capabilities.
- • Your GRC domain expertise will be invaluable. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the complexities of various regulatory environments. This includes providing strategic insights and best practices for achieving and maintaining compliance with standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR, HIPAA, and other custom or industry-specific frameworks. You will help clients operationalize continuous compliance, mature their risk management processes, and scale their security programs effectively.
- • Navigating complex stakeholder ecosystems is a critical skill. You will need to influence and engage with a diverse group of internal stakeholders within customer organizations, including security teams, IT departments, legal counsel, procurement officers, and executive leadership. Building consensus and driving alignment across these groups will be essential for successful adoption and value realization.
- • As the voice of the customer within Vanta, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy and influencing cross-functional priorities. By relaying customer feedback, challenges, and needs, you will contribute directly to improving Vanta's enterprise readiness and ensuring our solutions continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our largest clients.
- • Proactive risk management is paramount. You will continuously monitor your portfolio for potential risks, including renewal forecasting, changes in key customer stakeholders, organizational shifts, and evolving compliance landscapes. Developing and implementing mitigation strategies will be crucial to ensuring long-term customer retention and success.
- • Finally, you will lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives with Vanta's Product, Engineering, Support, and Sales teams to address sophisticated customer challenges, ensuring that our enterprise clients receive the highest level of service and support.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of Customer Success experience in a SaaS environment, with at least 3+ years managing large enterprise or strategic accounts.
- • Strong GRC domain expertise, with hands-on experience in security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 42001, or similar.
- • Proven experience engaging and influencing C-level executives in complex, global organizations.
- • Demonstrated success driving retention and expansion within large, multi-threaded accounts.
- • Experience leading executive business reviews, building multi-year strategic plans, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
- • Ability to manage ambiguity and operate effectively in highly matrixed customer organizations.
- • Strong commercial acumen with experience partnering on large renewals and expansion motions.
- • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical security concepts into executive-level business value.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risk and drive proactive account strategies.
- • High level of ownership, accountability, and ability to influence without authority.
- • Open to using AI to amplify their skills and strengthen their work - demonstrating curiosity, a willingness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
