- • Ping Identity is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cyber Security Engineer III to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the security and seamless operation of our enterprise systems, including our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business areas. You will be instrumental in building and deploying robust security automation, hardening security configurations, and leading incident response efforts. As a Cyber Security Engineer III, you will leverage a comprehensive understanding of security principles to design, develop, and implement secure and reliable systems, while also providing crucial support and guidance to other teams. This position is ideal for seasoned Security Operations Centre (SOC) analysts or Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) looking to advance their careers into specialized security engineering.
- • In this role, you will be at the forefront of proactive and reactive security measures. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated incident response playbooks, ensuring that Ping Identity is prepared to effectively handle any security event. You will actively perform incident response and coordination, acting as a key point of contact during security incidents and orchestrating multi-disciplinary teams to mitigate threats swiftly and efficiently. A significant part of your contribution will involve leading the assessment of system designs and changes, ensuring that security is embedded from the initial stages of development and deployment. You will also be an integral part of a weekly on-call rotation, providing critical support outside of standard business hours to address any emergent security concerns.
- • Furthermore, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of engineered solutions that are not only secure but also highly reliable and maintainable, contributing to the long-term stability of our infrastructure. Your expertise will be vital in supporting detection engineering efforts, enhancing our ability to identify and alert on potential security threats in real-time. You will proactively identify areas within the business that require security improvements and translate these needs into actionable, workable solutions that align with our overall security strategy. A key aspect of this role involves influencing and aligning the team’s vision and strategy, ensuring that our security initiatives are forward-thinking and effective. You will also collaborate extensively across various functional teams to support the successful delivery of roadmap items and critical security projects, fostering a culture of shared responsibility for security.
- • The Cyber Security Engineering team at Ping Identity is dedicated to protecting our customers' digital identities and ensuring the integrity of our intelligent, cloud identity platform. We are a global company serving some of the world's largest enterprises, and our security posture is paramount. You will be joining a team that champions individuality and encourages authentic self-expression, reflecting our core value of Respect Individuality. This is an opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a company that is fundamentally changing how businesses and individuals approach cybersecurity and identity management.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to significantly enhance your expertise in advanced security engineering practices. You will gain hands-on experience with leading security technologies and methodologies, including Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems like Google Chronicle, and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker. You will develop your leadership skills by guiding cross-functional projects and influencing strategic security decisions. This position offers a unique chance to deepen your understanding of cloud security, particularly within AWS and GCP environments, and to contribute to the development of innovative security solutions that protect millions of users worldwide. You will also have the chance to grow your incident response capabilities by coordinating complex investigations and developing effective response strategies, ultimately contributing to your professional development and career advancement within the cybersecurity field.
