- • As a Data Analyst at X-Bow Systems Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into strategic insights that drive product innovation, revenue growth, and operational excellence in the cybersecurity space. Your work will directly support the company’s mission to build the world’s first autonomous pentester by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across product, observability, and go-to-market systems.
- • You will partner with product, engineering, SRE, finance, and GTM teams to define, track, and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure product quality, user behavior, and business health. This includes analyzing user interactions, debugging system issues through observability data, and aligning metric definitions so that leadership can make informed, data-driven decisions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting deep data analysis for financial forecasting and GTM strategy, supporting product roadmap decisions with behavioral analytics, and building and maintaining scalable dashboards for company-wide consumption—especially for executive leadership.
- • You will own end-to-end data quality across the product and its observability stack, ensuring that data pipelines are reliable, semantics are consistent across teams, and all data collection adheres to global privacy and compliance standards such as GDPR and CCPA.
- • Collaborating closely with Site Reliability Engineering, you will bridge observability and product reliability by identifying patterns in system behavior that impact debuggability and performance, enabling faster incident resolution and improved user experience.
- • You will work with Product Management to gather and analyze user-behavioral data, translating insights into actionable recommendations for feature prioritization and UX improvements.
- • In partnership with development teams, you will ensure that observability pipelines are used effectively and that data semantics are aligned across microservices and components, reducing ambiguity and increasing trust in reporting.
- • You will act as the compliance guardian for data practices, verifying that all data gathering, storage, and reporting meet stringent security and privacy regulations, thereby protecting both the company and its customers.
- • Through your analytical rigor and cross-functional collaboration, you will help shape X-Bow’s data culture—establishing best practices in metric definition, dashboard design, and data storytelling that scale with the organization.
- • This role offers the unique opportunity to grow your expertise at the intersection of data analytics, cybersecurity, and AI-driven product innovation, working alongside pioneers from GitHub Copilot and GitHub Advanced Security while contributing to a mission-critical product that defends organizations against evolving cyber threats.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- • Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker for building dashboards and visualizations.
- • Familiarity with observability platforms including Datadog or NewRelic to monitor system performance and user behavior.
- • Solid understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA, and ability to ensure compliance in data workflows.
- • Bonus: Experience with engineering monitoring tools like Grafana.
- • Bonus: Proficiency in data science programming languages such as Python, R, or Julia for advanced analysis.
