Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • As a Data Analyst at Constructor Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-informed decisions across multiple high-impact teams including Data Science Integrations, Ranking, Recommendations, and AI Shopping Agent. Your work will directly influence product strategy and business outcomes by transforming complex data into actionable insights that improve user experience and revenue metrics for a platform serving over 1 billion daily queries across 100+ countries.
  • You will operate at the critical intersection of data, product, and machine learning, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure that analytical findings are translated into tangible improvements in search relevance, recommendation quality, and AI-powered shopping experiences.
  • Constructor is a fast-growing, U.S.-based AI-driven ecommerce platform founded in 2019, powering search and discovery for global brands like Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco. The company prides itself on its proprietary search engine built with transformers and generative LLMs, which has never lost an A/B test to a competitor, and fosters a culture rooted in empathy, curiosity, continuous improvement, and metric-driven innovation.
  • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include analyzing large-scale user behavior datasets to uncover trends, pain points, and optimization opportunities; designing, executing, and interpreting A/B tests to measure the impact of product changes on key business metrics such as conversion rate and revenue; defining and validating metrics that align user experience with business goals; building and maintaining dashboards and reporting tools using SQL, Python, and distributed data systems to enable self-service insights across teams; and partnering cross-functionally to communicate findings and drive product improvements based on data.
  • You will gain deep exposure to cutting-edge ML pipelines, ranking and recommendation systems, and AI shopping agents, while developing expertise in metric design, funnel analysis, and experimentation culture. This role offers significant growth potential for analysts eager to work on technically challenging problems with real-world business impact in a collaborative, high-trust environment where your insights directly shape product roadmap and company success.

🎯 Requirements

  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience solving business problems using data, including the ability to structure ambiguous problems, identify root causes, and derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
  • Solid proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large-scale datasets, combined with hands-on experience using Python for data analysis (including pandas, NumPy, and visualization libraries such as Matplotlib or Seaborn).
  • Understanding of A/B testing methodology and statistical concepts (e.g., significance, power, confidence intervals), with practical experience designing, running, and analyzing experiments to evaluate product changes.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts, particularly as they apply to training data quality, model evaluation, and pipelines in ranking, recommendations, or search relevance contexts.
  • Experience defining key metrics, building metric trees, and analyzing product funnels to track user behavior and business performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences including engineers, product managers, and executives.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating ownership, curiosity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Fully remote work model — live and work from anywhere, with flexibility to choose your ideal environment while staying connected to a global team.
  • Unlimited vacation policy, actively encouraged by leadership, with a strong recommendation to take at least three weeks of time off per year to recharge and maintain well-being.
  • Annual training and development budget for every employee, refreshed yearly to support continuous learning, skill growth, and career advancement.
  • Apple laptop provided upon hire to ensure you have high-performance tools for data analysis, coding, and collaboration.
  • Home office stipend to help you set up a productive and ergonomic workspace tailored to your needs.
  • Competitive base salary range of $80,000–$120,000 USD, based on experience, skills, and interview performance, supplemented by stock options as part of long-term compensation.
  • Comprehensive parental leave policies (maternity and paternity) for qualified employees, supporting work-life balance during major life events.
  • Regular team offsite events to foster connection, collaboration, and culture-building across the distributed team.
  • Access to a workplace committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, where all backgrounds are valued and equal opportunity is a core principle.
