- • As the Data Analytics Manager at Bestow Inc., you will lead and grow a team of analysts responsible for delivering high-quality data products that power the life insurance platform, enabling carriers to launch products faster through AI-driven automation and scalable data infrastructure.
- • You will balance hands-on technical leadership in SQL, dbt, and data modeling with strategic people management, mentoring analysts at all levels, owning hiring and onboarding, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence, documentation, and continuous improvement.
- • You will define and drive the technical roadmap for the analytics layer, establishing dbt best practices, data governance frameworks, and quality standards that support audit and compliance in a regulated insurance environment while evolving from batch to real-time API-driven data delivery.
- • You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams to ensure consistent, reliable data delivery for enterprise integrations, represent the data team in architecture forums, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment and informed decision-making.
- • You will contribute to Bestow’s mission of modernizing life insurance infrastructure by building scalable, trustworthy data solutions that help the industry reach more people and deliver on its promise, backed by leading investors and recognized as a top workplace for parents, equity, and innovation.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or a closely related data role, with at least 3 years in people management leading teams of 5 or more direct reports
- • Expert proficiency in SQL and data modeling, particularly with large columnar databases such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift, and expert-level dbt skills in building transformation layers, enforcing testing and documentation standards, and establishing team-wide best practices
- • Proven ability to coach and grow analysts across career levels, contribute to or lead data governance initiatives (including data quality, access controls, lineage documentation), and design analytics layers that support both batch and real-time consumption patterns via streaming or event-driven architectures
