- • As a Data Annotation Specialist at Cohere Inc., you will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the performance of frontier AI models by assessing their ability to handle data science and coding tasks, directly contributing to model development and real-world AI applications.
- • Day to day, you will evaluate model responses to coding requests, assess agent trajectories for code generation and debugging, prompt models to complete complex data science tasks, label and refine machine- and human-written outputs, and report on quality and performance trends in model behavior.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in data science workflows, model evaluation, and AI safety practices while contributing to the advancement of reliable, high-performing AI systems used by enterprises worldwide.
🎯 Requirements
- • Exceptional data analysis and visualization skills
- • 3+ years of relevant industry experience working on real-world data science problems and pipelines
- • Proficient knowledge of Python and industry-standard data science packages (numpy, pandas, matplotlib, sqlite, or others)
- • Strong understanding of SQL syntax and workflows, with familiarity in markdown, JSON, XML, YAML, and HTML
- • Prior experience re-writing, proofreading, and delivering feedback on code
- • Familiarity with code agents (OpenCode, Claude Code, Codex) or evaluating agent trajectories is a plus
