📋 Description

• The Data Center Technician role at Vultr is critical to maintaining the performance and reliability of the company’s global cloud infrastructure, supporting enterprise and AI-driven workloads across 33 international data centers.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include racking and stacking servers and switches, cabling, diagnosing and repairing hardware issues, coordinating with facility staff on power and cooling systems, managing spare parts inventory, collaborating with warranty vendors, and escalating incidents to ensure 99.99%+ uptime in a 24×7 environment.
• Vultr is the world’s largest privately-held cloud infrastructure company, trusted by hundreds of thousands of customers in 185 countries, with a strong commitment to employee well-being, innovation, and operational excellence.
• This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge GPU-dense, liquid-cooled infrastructure, develop expertise in hyperscale data center operations, and contribute to the expansion of Vultr’s edge regions while growing technical and problem-solving skills in a high-impact, fast-paced setting.

🎯 Requirements

• At least four years of experience as a data center technician or in a similar role involving installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of server and network equipment
• Experience with large-scale network and server deployments in mission-critical colocation facilities
• Firm understanding of GPU hardware and liquid-cooled rack solutions
• Ability to work independently, manage projects, and respond proactively to incidents in a fast-paced, high-availability environment
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, can-do attitude
