- • As a Data Engineer at Deel, you will design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines (ETL processes) to integrate data from various source systems into the data warehouse, supporting analytics and reporting needs across a global HR and payroll platform serving 150+ countries.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing data warehouse schemas, writing complex SQL queries, using Python for data transformation, implementing data quality measures, collaborating with data analysts and scientists, documenting pipelines, and managing multiple projects while communicating progress to stakeholders.
- • You will join a rapidly growing, fully distributed team of over 7,000 employees across 100+ countries, contributing to Deel’s mission of unlocking global opportunity through its all-in-one HRIS, payroll, compliance, benefits, and performance platform backed by a $17.3B valuation and $1B ARR.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in scalable data infrastructure, ETL orchestration, and data quality systems while working on high-impact projects that directly support payroll processing for millions of workers worldwide, accelerating your career in the future of global work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- • Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering or backend data development
- • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and building data warehouse solutions
- • Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline automation
- • Familiarity with ETL tools and workflow orchestration frameworks such as Apache Airflow
- • Experience implementing data quality checks and working with large-scale datasets
