Data Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Data Engineer on Lyft's Mapping team, you will architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and services that support route simulation, experimentation, analytics, and machine learning models, directly impacting the accuracy of travel time estimations and recommended routes for millions of riders and drivers.
• • Day to day, you will own core data pipelines, develop subject matter expertise in managed systems, set and manage SLAs, evolve data models and schemas, build self-service tools for ETL and schema evolution, write clean and well-tested code, conduct code reviews, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate with internal and external partners to unblock and support data-driven initiatives.
• • You will join a world-class team of engineers, product managers, and data scientists at Lyft, working in Toronto on a hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in-office per week) with access to cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Kubernetes, and Apache Airflow, contributing to a mission-driven culture focused on serving and connecting communities.
