📋 Description

• • As a Data Engineer on Lyft’s Safety and Customer Care (SCC) team, you will own the data modeling and pipelines that power the Associate and AI Agent Platform, directly impacting the reliability, performance, and scalability of systems that support over 1.7 million monthly rider and driver interactions.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include owning and scaling core data pipelines, evolving data models and schemas based on business needs, implementing data quality tracking systems, developing self-service ETL tools, tuning SQL and MapReduce jobs for performance, writing clean and maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, and marketing teams to align on data-driven solutions.
• • The SCC team serves as Lyft’s primary direct touchpoint with riders and drivers, managing critical infrastructure that enables both human associates and AI agents to deliver safe, comfortable, and meaningful support experiences—turning every interaction into a moment of genuine connection.
