Data Engineer

📋 Description

• • Own and streamline end-to-end data pipelines from ingestion to delivery, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency for the Growth team at ElevenLabs.
• • Implement and maintain dbt best practices, including modular modeling, testing, documentation, and version control, to enforce data quality and consistency across the organization.
• • Establish and enforce data standards and quality controls to ensure accurate, trusted, and actionable datasets for cross-functional teams.
• • Build self-service tooling and comprehensive documentation to empower Engineering, Revenue Operations, Growth, and other teams to independently access and analyze data without relying on constant engineering support.
• • Design and deploy AI agents that answer data questions autonomously, reducing manual inquiry loads and enabling real-time self-service analytics across the company.
• • Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Growth, Engineering, and Operations to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in existing data workflows and implement improvements that increase pipeline throughput and reduce latency.
• • Work with modern data stack tools including Python and SQL to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into centralized data warehouses.
• • Ensure data pipelines are observable, monitorable, and resilient, with alerting and recovery mechanisms in place to maintain uptime and data integrity.
• • Advocate for data governance principles while balancing speed and autonomy in a high-velocity, AI-first environment.
• • Contribute to the evolution of ElevenLabs’ data infrastructure by introducing new tools, patterns, and methodologies that align with company-wide excellence standards.
• • Maintain clear, concise, and accessible documentation for all data models, transformations, and workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• • Participate in cross-team initiatives to standardize metrics, definitions, and KPIs across departments, ensuring alignment on business-critical data interpretations.
• • Proactively identify opportunities to automate manual data processes using AI and tooling to reduce operational overhead and improve decision-making velocity.
• • Support the scaling of ElevenLabs’ data infrastructure as user base, data volume, and team size grow rapidly across global markets.
• • Work in a fully remote, global environment with minimal bureaucracy, where impact is measured by outcomes, not titles or hierarchy.
• • Leverage ElevenLabs’ AI-first culture to augment data engineering workflows using internal AI tools for code generation, documentation drafting, and anomaly detection.
• • Engage in an iterative, experimentation-driven approach to pipeline development, prioritizing rapid iteration and measurable impact over perfectionism.
• • Contribute to a culture of excellence where data quality and accessibility are treated with the same rigor as the company’s AI models.
