- • As a Data Engineer on the AQNav team, you will build and maintain data infrastructure that powers quantum navigation solutions for military and commercial applications, directly enabling the team to advance GPS-independent navigation technology.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining data pipelines, modeling data for diverse consumers, integrating simulation data with real-world field data, ensuring data quality and observability, supporting cross-functional data needs, contributing to internal data platform improvements, and owning technical documentation for pipelines and schemas.
- • You will join a global, multidisciplinary team at SandboxAQ that includes experts in AI, physics, chemistry, cybersecurity, mathematics, medicine, and engineering, working on high-impact AI solutions for life sciences, financial services, navigation, and cybersecurity challenges.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in building scalable data systems for scientific and engineering datasets, gain hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and MLOps practices, and contribute to mission-critical navigation technology that operates in GPS-denied environments.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of industry experience as a Data Engineer in a startup or fast-moving environment
- • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience building production-grade data solutions
- • Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and data models/warehouses that process large, structured scientific or engineering datasets
- • Hands-on experience building on AWS (e.g., S3, ECS, Lambda, IAM) combined with CI/CD and containerization (e.g., GitHub Actions or CircleCI, Docker) to automate, deploy, and maintain data and ML workloads in the cloud
- • Practical MLOps experience: setting up and operating MLOps frameworks (e.g., MLFlow, DVC)
