- • Administer and govern the company’s enterprise data infrastructure centered on Snowflake, including user management, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and warehouse scaling strategies.
- • Administer and maintain additional data platform technologies including Fivetran, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, and Monte Carlo.
- • Optimize performance by identifying and resolving bottleneck queries in Snowflake and inefficiencies across the data stack.
- • Implement and enforce data security standards including Dynamic Data Masking, Row-Level Security (RLS), and integration of SSO/SAML providers such as Okta.
- • Automate routine operational tasks using Python and SQL to streamline user provisioning, monitoring alerts, and maintenance workflows.
- • Monitor and control infrastructure costs by tracking credit consumption and storage usage, and implementing guardrails to prevent unexpected budget overruns.
- • Optionally manage the Tableau Cloud ecosystem, ensuring site health, managing user permissions, overseeing data source certifications, and handling publications for business users.
- • Ensure data governance and compliance across all data infrastructure components to support analytics, data science, and financial reporting use cases.
- • Collaborate within the Data Services team to build scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions that enable enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making.
- • Balance rapid iteration with high standards for product quality in a fast-growing, ambiguous environment.
- • Contribute to a culture that values innovation, technical excellence, and solving complex data infrastructure challenges.
🎯 Requirements
- • B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
- • 3+ years of experience in Data Infrastructure Administration
- • Experience administering data platform technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks
- • Proficiency in SQL and Python
- • Experience managing data infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- • At least 2+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, dbt, Airflow, Spark, or Terraform (preferred)
