  • • The Senior Data Integration Business Analyst at Alight plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of data flows across enterprise systems, directly supporting the company’s mission to build a healthier and more financially secure workforce by unifying the benefits ecosystem.
  • • This role is critical to enabling seamless data exchange between health, wealth, wellbeing, navigation, and absence management systems, ensuring stakeholders have trustworthy data for decision-making and operational excellence.
  • • Defining and governing data mapping standards, including field-level definitions, transformations, validation rules, and reconciliation requirements to ensure consistency and integrity across integrated systems.
  • • Documenting and maintaining end-to-end data flows and lineage across platforms to support traceability, auditability, and rapid issue resolution, enabling compliance and operational transparency.
  • • Translating business and data strategy into implementation-ready requirements such as functional specifications, user stories, and data models, bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution.
  • • Partnering with engineering and technical teams to align on integration patterns, delivery timelines, and milestones, ensuring solutions are scalable, repeatable, and aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • • Ensuring secure data exchange practices are understood and followed, including secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, AS2), access controls, and encryption standards, while proactively identifying and mitigating data risks throughout the integration lifecycle.
  • • Collaborating with business, IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure adherence to data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and internal policies, driving data quality through defined acceptance criteria, validation logic, and reconciliation processes.
  • • Establishing operational readiness for file feeds and integrations, including cutover planning, runbooks, escalation matrices, and monitoring/alerting frameworks to detect and resolve failures or delays in real time.
  • • Leading complex troubleshooting and root-cause analysis efforts across teams, identifying recurring issues, and driving corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve integration reliability and performance.
  • • Providing leadership, coordination, and mentorship to junior and mid-level business analysts, fostering skill development in data integration concepts, analysis techniques, and documentation standards.
  • • Contributing to the evolution of organizational best practices, templates, and standards for business analysis and data integration, promoting consistency and maturity across teams.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focused background in data integration, ETL processes, and enterprise-level data flows.
  • • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data validation, transformation verification, discrepancy identification, and supporting reconciliation and defect analysis.
  • • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-system data integration initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, technical teams, and dependencies across health, wealth, or benefits domains.
  • • Proven ability to operate as a senior advisor, influencing scope, approach, and outcomes at both program and executive leadership levels through facilitation, communication, and strategic thinking.
  • • Working knowledge of data governance principles including data quality, metadata management, lineage tracking, and documentation standards to ensure compliance and trust in data assets.
