📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain a common analytical data model that integrates data from Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and other transactional healthcare data sources.
• Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate data requirements into logical and physical data models for the organization’s common data model.
• Ensure the data model is scalable, efficient, well-documented, and aligned with the Lakehouse medallion architecture.
• Utilize data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio to create and refine data models for healthcare analytics.
• Implement dimensional models and RDBMS structures to support data warehousing solutions in cloud environments.
• Define and enforce data governance practices, including data quality controls and master data management (MDM) standards.
• Apply Golden Record practices to ensure accurate data mapping and consistency across integrated healthcare datasets.
• Work with downstream consumer teams to validate that the data model supports analytical, reporting, and business intelligence needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data architecture that enables decision-making, reporting, and analytics in the healthcare sector.
• Leverage cloud platforms including AWS, Snowflake, Fivetran, and DBT for data ingestion, transformation, and modeling workflows.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, and CCDA in all modeling activities.
• Support the development of a trusted data environment by maintaining accurate metadata, lineage, and documentation.
• Partner with analytics teams to ensure data models meet requirements for tools such as Sigma Computing, Power BI, and Tableau.
• Translate complex healthcare data structures into standardized, reusable models that unify disparate data sources.
• Continuously optimize data models for performance, reliability, and adaptability to evolving business needs.
• Document data model specifications, transformation rules, and integration points for internal and external stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data modeling
• Prior experience with U.S. ambulatory healthcare data, including EHR and practice management systems
• Proficiency with data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio
• Understanding of U.S. healthcare data standards including HL7, FHIR, and CCDA
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes in cloud environments
