- • As a Data Platform Engineer at Sardine Inc., you will design and build scalable, data-intensive applications that power fraud prevention and AML compliance solutions used by over 300 banks, retailers, and fintechs worldwide.
- • You will design and implement ETL pipelines for terabyte-scale data processing, develop and optimize APIs for fast data retrieval, architect scalable storage solutions using systems like Bigtable, BigQuery, or ElasticSearch, and collaborate with data science, product, and operations teams to turn raw data into actionable insights.
- • Sardine is a remote-first company with hubs in the Bay Area, NYC, Austin, Toronto, and São Paulo, hiring self-motivated individuals who value performance over hours worked and prioritize work-life balance.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in streaming technologies (Flink, Spark, Beam, Airflow), cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and backend systems while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical excellence in a high-growth, innovative environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced English proficiency (C1 level) is mandatory
- • 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems, designing high-performance APIs, and processing large-scale datasets
- • Hands-on experience designing and building streaming pipelines using technologies like Apache Flink, Apache Beam, Airflow, and Apache Spark
- • Expertise in Go, Python, or Java, combined with a strong foundation in SQL and NoSQL databases (such as Bigtable, BigQuery, or DynamoDB)
- • Proficiency with AWS or GCP infrastructure, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and managing CI/CD pipelines
